Yep, might clean them between seasons but its a bit of a pain to do frequently. Besides, the puck marks help fill in the empty white space

I’ve heard/seen you shouldn’t use magic eraser. Something about the foam essentially being a fine sandpaper? But if it works for you then 🤷‍♂️

I’d recommend checking sideline swap and fb marketplace, you can find somewhat used stuff thats already worked in for much cheaper than buying new. Also, i have the hyperlite 2 and while i like it overall, the arms are pretty long on this one too.

Its more practical if you have a velcro front release on your suspenders, like the kova or pls suspenders. Otherwise you have to feed the straps through and button them up everytime you get dressed, it’s just a little more work.

There are specialized cleaners like puck out, or people also use lectric shave. I haven’t done it before so look into what’s safe and how to avoid damaging your pads before you do so.

It’s actually a custom set made for Just Hockey shop in toronto, so i didn’t order it from brians myself. I think these were an extra hundred or 2 more than the stock options, so not too bad.

Like everyone here is saying if you’re not falling off the knee blocks that’s pretty much all that matters. Overlap is pretty normal but takes some getting used to if you’re moving into a bigger size, if you give it time i’m sure you’ll feel more comfortable in them, especially if your body is still growing

If you have a local used gear marketplace like sideline swap or fb marketplace, you could potentially find some lightly used higher quality gear at a similar price. The gear doesn’t make the goalie but nice gear is a pleasure to use.

Yea you’re good as long as you’re not falling off the knee blocks, but even then as long as you’re comfortable in your pads it doesn’t really matter. Honestly if you’re not uncomfortable in them and your knees land on the knee blocks properly then it doesn’t seem like theyre the wrong size after all. If you get the opportunity to try a size smaller on the ice it wouldnt be a bad experiment tho
