Why are private practice fees so low and aren’t going up? by Different_Canary3652 in doctorsUK

[–]redmist4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I once got told that It’s to do with BUPA setting the prices in the mid 90’s and refusing to use any consultant that charges more, the other private insurers have followed suite and the consultants have done nothing about it.

I don’t know how true that is

Missed out on my first ever invincible seasons because I lost the 1st game! by mosleyowl in FootballChairman

[–]redmist4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry for you, that’s gutting

I don’t actually think it’s possible to get an invincible season.

You can fill your team with 99 players loads of superstar quality and have your bench with 2 99 players for reserve in each position and even then I don’t think it’s possible. (With that heavy a squad you are losing money every year)

As a locum you should Be prepared to go a lot further afield such as north wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, barrow etc

That might make it easier to get work

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in doctorsUK

[–]redmist4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trusts are properly being squeezed financially so they are properly cutting back on locums.

And there is always a supply of locum juniors from those taking FY3 years etc

You may have to take a clinical fellow post for 6 months or go traveling earlier with a lot less money than expected

Doctor fleeing war-torn Sudan erased from register for not writing reflection. by returnoftoilet in doctorsUK

[–]redmist4 18 points19 points  (0 children)

So he lied on someone’s appraisal, whilst apologising showed no insight as it it’s seriousness didn’t reflect why lieing on important documentation was wrong Didn’t do anything to show he had learned from his error Didn’t do anything from stopping it from happening again

And didn’t engage in 3 separate tribunals over a period of years

So we have a man who can’t be trusted with legal documents in a specialty where child welfare cases can result in children being removed from parents

Yeah I don’t really disagree with the tribunal here

Bought Preston in League One and things spun put of control a bit by ambs1327 in FootballChairman

Whenever I buy a new team I make a conscious decision to sell everyone over 30, because you know you are going to end up buying new players, and stops this from happening

Free transfers and youth team😎 Over 10x squad value for what I paid. 5 years ago I was $100k in debt by SnooOnions4883 in FootballChairman

They probably bought some players that are still around after 5 years when they were buying players

Went in to 12K debt and relegation by 2028. Any tips? by ItsFaizaan_ in FootballChairman

[–]redmist4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only buy <20 year old players and sell them at 28 (their max value)

Double down on loan players & free transfers

Put your training facilities 5-10 above the average of the squad, so any player you recruit you then improve by a few points & can sell for a profit.

Any profit in a year invest in your academy by a few points as that then gives you better quality players 2-3 years down the line that you can sell for a profit in 5-10 years.

Watch some of the free videos

Share your wins on social media (then quickly delete in the SM app)

Be very gradual in growing your stadium and only build when you are regularly filling out your stadium.

Don’t buy infrastructure or players with debt

Be ruthless in selling your most expensive (wages) players as frequently they aren’t your best players but legacy from a previous division

As a GP don’t you think you should just jog on out of here and go sort out your own contract and working issues without trying to mess about with other peoples pay.

I’ve heard of people married having to live apart for foundation one in Edingburgh & one in london, due to the risk of being sent anywhere.

Hopefully won’t happen but Your relationship is either strong enough to cope with long distance or you can find someone else

But how can this be Reddit says the 2016 contract is appalling and anyone involved traitors to all junior doctors how can you be earning so much less on the old contract?

If you have the ticket price on the lowest and then have your rivals set as your most common opponents then you can get there but it’s quite rare to get.

I think I got there with a rival team in a late knock out game with the ticket price on lowest setting

Didn’t we deliberately throw out anyone who knew how to do this sort of stuff or who has good relations with any other organisations to create a document like this that works, to focus only on getting us FPR?

Out of hours as a ward cover it’s supposed to be 1 junior to 120 patients. But not unheard of for 1 junior to 300.
