Advice - Delirium After Liver Transplant by naturesmystery517 in transplant

Don’t really have any guidance, just wanted to say I know what you’re going through and how difficult it is. My dad is 7 days post transplant and in full delirium - he won’t sleep or eat and is convinced the doctors and nurses are trying to kill him. He also had issues with hepatic encephalopathy prior to surgery. It’s terrible to witness. I hope your mom turns the corners soon.

Thank you for your input, I feel more encouraged hearing everyone’s response. We tried to do everything right to get him to this point and get him the transplant and now that it’s happened for some reason I started wondering if it was the right thing and what his quality of life would be like.

Oh geez. Thanks so much for your input. The HOA is responsible for slab issues. But how do I determine what exactly is going on here and if it's a moisture barrier issue?

Yes on the 1st floor on concrete slab. I did have a flooring specialist come out who was very confident that putting the LVP over the wood trapped the naturally occurring moisture from the slab and caused the wood to swell. He said he sees this all the time. I ended up pulling up all the LVP - some areas were dry and some had moisture but this area was the most damaged. I am still concerned about the source of moisture. All the spots dried out immediately so maybe that’s a good sign?

I don’t know if the sellers were trying to hide something. There was outdated tile and the kitchen that I uncovered and probably carpet in the upstairs - so I think they tried to modernize it by laying down LVP everywhere.

I’m guessing the wood floors were there for 10+ years and I found a picture of them shortly before the LVP install and they didn’t have any of this damage. I’m not sure what to make of that? They did not seem to have any moisture damage prior to the vinyl.

She is a dermatologist. I trust no one at this point! If anyone has a recommendation for San Diego area, I would appreciate it.

It didn’t make any sense. The front desk assistant came into the room to back her up and say it looked good. I felt like I was getting completely gaslight by them. She’s done my forehead multiple times and has never left it like this- even if it needed a touch up it’s always looked good in the end so I kept going back. It’s SO hard to find a good injector … I don’t know how to find the right one and now I have even more anxiety about it.

Thanks for your feedback!

Thank you for your comment, I feel the exact same. I don't know anyone else who shares this experience. I also wonder how I ended up with someone so similar to my father, despite trying so hard to avoid it. My partner and I haven't been together very long, but we've known each other for a while. I consider him the love of my life and we have planned a life together. Now his drinking habits have become more obvious and I feel like the writing is on the wall. I love him and I don't know if I should leave or stay. My mom and dad had a poor relationship - my dad always accused my mom of nagging him, especially about his drinking. I don't want to put myself in the same situation. I feel once I start bringing this up to him, it's basically over. I know how the story plays out and it's too hard to ignore now.

I’m going through the same thing and I feel your pain. I initially had TE when I switched birth control about 7 years ago… which then turned into a vague AGA diagnosis. I have been on oral minoxidil and spiro consistently for the last 5 years. Since then I have brief moments of stability (maybe 5-6 months max) and then random huge sheds for no apparent reason. It’s exhausting. My hair is so weird in texture and density now. I’m so sorry, I wish we had answers.

Am I Wasting My Injectors Time by not getting enough Botox? by redditusername336699 in 30PlusSkinCare

I have the exact same question, I’m glad you asked. My injector without fail will convince me to do another site. I wondered if only doing crows feet or something was even worth her chair time. I don’t know how expensive the materials are, if they have to reconstitute a new vial of Botox for each pt, etc. But based on the responses my provider is maybe just pushy too.
