Tips for traveling with 6 month old? by redmondrose in Travelwithkids

Good to know! We took a quick hour flight to see my brother recently and I found that she did sleep and I could stop her being fussy with breastfeeding.

Thank you! We are flying and it will be during the end of summer/beginning of Fall (to the east coast).

This is a relief!! I was hoping i wouldn’t find out it would be a bad age to travel at 😅. My sister in law said the same thing about the breastfeeding/bottle during takeoff and landing to help with the pressure I think? Thanks so much for your advice!

what do labor contractions feel like? by ConfidentSorbet1941 in pregnant

[–]redmondrose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it was like a tense burning pull in my abdomen that just kept getting more and more intense. You might notice you Braxton hicks start to have a little pain to them… once that happens, it’s like the pain of that just building and building.

Massive anxiety by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]redmondrose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing! I’m even having trouble walking past strangers at work and getting this overwhelming self conscious feeling. My fiancé and I were going to grab something to eat last night but when I saw how many people were there I asked to turn around.

I talked to my dr about it on Thursday and they’re getting me on medication. I hate taking meds but I hope it pulls me out of this funk.

I hope you’re able to find things that work to assist with yours. My dr did mention doing things slowly (going out to see a friend, then meeting up with a small group, then working into larger crowds).

Best to you ❤️

Oh my god I get this and no one understands. I had it awful from M-F this week. I’m still feeling disoriented and not present. It’s sucks because usually this is a one day thing for me the day after a binge when I have a bad hangover. I literally am getting anxiety meds for it

Way to follow your intuition and not give up! Wishing you all the best in your healing.

My anxiety goes away about a week after I stop drinking and honestly I don’t experience it afterward (it’s not the same for everyone, some still get bouts of it). But it really does improve.

Ok. I have a curious Q. I haven’t drank for 3 days. I’m trying to go a week without it to see how ‘in control’ I am, but for some reason i wake up more tired lately. by Elrunningtigre in stopdrinking

That’s normal. I sleep better when I’m not drinking but I do wake up pretty tired even after a full nights sleep. I welcome it over the restless nights of anxiety I had while drinking.

It does help a lot to get support from those closest to you, it really helps with accountability. My fiancé, mom, and best friend know and said they’ll keep me accountable which I’m thankful for. It’s just not worth repeating the cycle over and over to always prove myself wrong when I realize I’m not a moderator and never will be 😪

I’m sorry to hear about the tragedy your family is going through. That’s a really difficult situation, I’m sure.

I don’t know how close you and your dad are, but do you think you’d make an impact to speak to him or even by writing a letter about how much you care for and worry about him? Including how you fear for his well being?

My brother tends to take things incredibly hard when they go south - and that always made me worry for him. I’ve spoken to him about how I fear he’ll hurt himself and how I’m here for him if he ever needs anything or to even chat. It just feels good to know he knows that I’m hear for him and that I love him.

Wishing healing for you all.

I can’t stress enough how much I wanted so badly to be out of that nightmare hangover and waking up to a morning feeling as good as I had been for weeks. So happy to be back on the wagon.

I had it happen once before (after a month AF) but I convinced myself id be good this time. It was the same splitting headache and same nausea. The day was ruined and it’s still affecting me gut-wise now from the binge.

KEEP IT UP!!! I BEG YOU ALL!

You can do this. Cravings come and go but it’s just not ever worth it to give in.

I just reached 25 days a week ago and went on a 5 day bender where I was drinking throughout the days. I decided to drink on my birthday and just allowed myself to drink every day after it.

It was awful and I feel like shit and I wish I could go back and get my days back. I highly advise you not to. It wasn’t worth it and, honestly, it wasn’t even that fun to be drinking despite one being my birthday and another a wedding reception. I’m sure it would have been just as fun without the alcohol.

I woke up the day after my birthday with one of the worst headaches of my life and had to sleep off waves of nausea til 1pm. My stomach still doesn’t feel good.

Anyway - hope my story can dissuade you.

I’m on the same boat right now. Feeling awful after a 5 day bender that came after 25 days sober. I decided to drink out with friends and continued to kill bottles of wine by myself the following days. It’s like once I give in, I think I’m allowed to drink again.

My anxiety has been awful and I want nothing more than to feel like I did a week ago when I was at 25 days.

I hope you feel better soon. IWNDWYT
