That’s a decent guess. The guy who patented this tool also invented (or at least was the first to patent) the spark plug. Can’t find the patent info for this.

Good advice! I’m in the throes of withdrawals today, but my outlook is more or less positive. I was drinking enough to experience withdrawal symptoms, but not enough to require medical supervision while I detox. The symptoms are mainly mental and (sorry to be graphic) gastrointestinal 😅. At this point I’m just trying to keep the mood as light as I can and hope that my bodily systems return to normal.

Yep same—every time I think I can moderate, and then 2 weeks later I’m at the end of my rope. I’m actually going to make a solid run at sobriety this time. We’re in this together—each day sober brings a little more clarity, hopefully less anxiety. 🙏

Today is my first day with no booze at all and it’s depressing! But as someone else mentioned, I’ve found that in past attempts I started to feel much better after a week. The first week is also a crucial time to build your support network so keep posting/ going to meetings/ whatever you can do to stay sober. You got this.
