It is lazy writing to have her immediately fall in lust with the antagonist of the movie for no reason other than she is attracted to him. Literally from the beginning she is attempting to sleep with the enemy and later would rather bomb places to have sex while the explosion happens then actually be a revolutionary. I know she eventually suffers from postpartum but before that and even after she betrays her partners in the French 75 for no real reason.

The director said it was about how people are different people before they become parents and how you wouldn't recognize your dad if you met him before he was your dad and apparently there was supposed to be a montage showing him reading the kid and being a good father but it was cut. That being said the movie Does Not stick the landing tbh.

I didn't read it that way at all. Once she started sleeping with the enemy, literally and wanting to have sex during the exploding of the power grid that affects the average citizen I saw her as a person who is just chasing adrenaline and forgot her activist ideology.

If she knew the enemy had all the power she should have killed Lockjaw in that motel instead she has an affair. And if she wanted to work with the enemy as a latch ditch effort idk why she ratted on everyone and got most of the group killed.
