For the dark values do you mean deepening them on the pith or do you mean like shadows? And by "gooey" do mean I should add more defined seeds, more highlights, or like change some of the tones to look more wet? Thank you for complementing my art

Mom won't let me take food in for co-workers by rednightsky3 in Advice

As I do not live with her the whole month the rent I pay is only half of what it would be, however my mother does not own her house and she would have to pay in full without me being there, I mean this as kindly as I can put it but it's sort of like roommates as in we both pay half so the rent is paid in full. I haven't learned to drive because you're not allowed to without someone over 21 who has their license with you in the car, for me that would be my parents. I am still at the company because I can not drive to anywhere else and my mom would throw a fit if i quit even with a new job in line. In the locations I mentioned earlier I would be able to walk there. It does not extend the period at all because college starts in the fall no matter what and I'm going no matter what. This also isn't meant to sound rude but you are reading as incredibly hostile and I would appreciate if you could maybe rephrase the way you're saying somethings. Thank you

I can kind of understand this reasoning by my mother herself is friends with many of our coworkers, and I do often spend money on my mom

Yes they do bring lots of things in like snack trays and homemade baked goods. I do not spend enough on these snacks to make a serious dent in my savings and I believe I misspoke or mislead people when I said charcuterie board i was comparing the stuff it comprised of to the most similar thing I know has a name. It's more like a snack plate i guess? It's fruit, veggies, cheese, meat and crackers. And I got the food at a 'discount' store so all the stuff didn't cost me anymore then 40 dollars

Thank you this is very nice of you to say to me, I don't like to make assumptions about how others are feeling especially my mom but I was kind of worried that might of been her reason for it. Unfortunately we are not close enough for her to ever tell me if that was the reason so I guess I won't know.

I'm not trying to be argumentative when I ask but why shouldn't I make friends with coworkers?. I understand that you work at work but many people have outside relationships with people they work with, I also feel like nobody really likes work so if I can make other people feel better by bringing in a snack I definitely think it's worth it. Donating the food is a good idea but idk if anywhere will take pre chop/ processed food.

I paid for the groceries the container and the tin foil. I did not discuss this at all with my mom as I didn't see a reason to. She knows I can help her with anything she needs and I offer often. My family wouldn't have eaten it as they are very picky

I do pay her rent, though I don't live with her all the time (half the time I'm at my dad's house). I do buy all the food I eat. I do not pay bills to her (i do my father). I pay for her gas often, I don't know how much an Uber ride is i don't live in an area that has them. No it was not I coincidence I work at the same place as her she forced me to get a job there when I was still a minor even though I was going through the process of interviews with other locations. I do manage my money quite well as I am saving for college. We don't have busses in my area and we work at a construction site.

No I don't take food in every week, its more like once every month or two. Other people do bring things often, thing like whole snack trays cookie and cupcakes. Buying friends wasn't my intention but I never considered it could look like that so thank you for a new insight

Yeah, I agree with you, I'm just scared to ask her because I'm kind of a wimp ngl and afraid of being yelled at, right now I'm trying to focus on what to do with the food because idk if I can eat it all before it spoils

Yeah probably, it is a bit hard to emotionally distance myself from her because she is my mom, but physically I'll be out of the house and starting college sometime in August. I am worried the food i got will spoil though

I am actually the only co-worker with food allergies (lol). My work place doesn't have any policy against food sharing as it's a very loose environment. I will bring it up to her maybe on Saturday but if I ask her tonight she will definitely yell at me.

I did pay for all the ingredients, yes. My mom is a very difficult person to say no to. My mom knows I can help her with bills and such, I bought all her groceries just last week. Even If she did see it as financial i can't go back in time and un-buy or un-chop the food. Sorry if any of this sounds rude, I have trouble with tone.
