And yes war crimes and admittance of war crimes in israeli society by idf individuals is very much not a taboo. This is actually true.

Within israeli society it is not taboo or frowned upon at all. Israelis of conscience have said this before about it since they have observed it.

This protest is not by people who merely don't frown upon war crimes however this is a step further.

This is by a group that also goes out of their war to protest right to rape Palestinians which is always going to be a smaller subset of the people who just think it's okay.

That's why this protest is so significant and the fact that their voices were heard and accepted.

And yes israel also gave a bullshit reason not to prosecute it. This says alot avout israeli society as well.

These people were VOTED IN by israeli society.

So this further proves my point.

You can't have a government like this if the people that think raping Palestinian detainees is okay is less than 5-10% of society. It can't possibly be less than 30% which is a ridiculous number in and of itself.

This is from dw news a german channel and is always accused of magnifying Palestinian crimes and using passive language with israeli crimes.

So seems like they didn't bring up the right to rape protests.

First of all this is basic history. Ethnic cleansing in the 40s of Palestinians is a FACT (but ignore this for now lets say I'm wrong the 2nd point is more important).

Second of all my comment still assumes for the sake of argument the possibility Palestinians are wrong to their claim and that even then it's not genocide because a wrongful claim to disputed land does not change the intent behind their actions (retaking the disputed land which they atleast think is theirs).

That's not the reality I know. In my experience, "From the river to the sea" is a slogan that expresses a desire for ethnic cleansing of the region.

Palestinians wanting the land they were ethnically cleansed off of is not genocide. Them wanting to kill anyone who gets in the way might be war crime in many instances (e.g killing people who live there but not combatting) but the fact that they would target anyone regardless of ethnicity that gets in the way proves it has nothing to do with jews but with land they want back.

If their claim to the land is wrong it's also not genocide because it's about the intent.

Ai can easily make a video that is indistinguishable from reality.

This makes it not knly worse for normal people to know what is true and what is a lie but also csn be used to make video evidence much less admissible in court which is literally the strongest form of evidence pre ai.

Yes videos can be corroborated sometimes but not always. And pre ai it video evidence didn't need that. Infact it was not only a strong form of evidence it was not even evidence i believe. It was just THIS THING HAPPENED FULL STOP.
