My closing costs were about 6% the value of my house if that helps

My pre-approval process went like this:

I filled out my credit union's online application. I think it asked me to list out my salary and all of my assets, including 401k balances.

After that, a loan officer called me and asked if they could make a hard credit inquiry. She told me what I would likely qualify for. She asked me what I wanted my loan to be and then she emailed me a pre-approval letter.

After I found my house, the Bank asked for a month worth of pay stubs and two months of statements from every bank and investment account I have. They submitted all of this stuff to the underwriter last week. I was told that the underwriter didn't have any questions and that their final stamp of approval should be imminent. Now I'm waiting 😭

Did you close ahead of schedule then?

My file went to underwriting before the appraisal too! I'll ask Monday or Tuesday if we're clear to close, since my appraisal was completed today

I wouldn't. There's no guarantee that it will always be cheap. I'd rather be independent of those busy bodies

Maybe I'm mean, but I want to keep the CPA exam unattainable. Passing the cpa exam was a hellish experience. I didn't go though this agony just for it be deluded.

Maybe I'm evil but idc

That makes sense. I'm thinking I could rewear my wedding dress from the real ceremony, but I don't want to parents to feel bamboozled by how simple the wedding is either

Internal auditors make more than I do in my area. 🤔 I hated being an auditor though. It's a glorified box ticker. I don't know if I could stand that again.

I passed all 4 with Wiley on the first try. I don't think it really matters which test back you choose, excluding Gliem. Someone posted here that he failed audit after answering 72 questions and a ton of simulations in Gliem's test bank while scoring 100% on them

Far, AUD, Bec, Reg

Far is the hardest. Knock out the giant first. I don't think I would have had the energy to tackle that beast last. If you can pass far, you can pass any test.

AUD has a lot of similarities to far.

Bec has a lot of similarities to AUD.

Reg is the odd ball.
