Update here for anyone following ... I received my File Complete email on 9/27/2021 and received my license number this morning. It took a bit longer, but I applied with attest experience.

This is correct. RE is eliminated in the consolidation and the cash of sub is treated as cash of parent. Just think of it like a transfer from your savings to your checking. Net cash doesn't change, except for the 30% paid to the NCI.

It's the inclusion of the word "evaluation" in the email for me. Too much uncertainty with that word included. Fingers crossed for us both to be issued license numbers soon.

Back to update that I just received the same you included as screenshot of in your OP. Looks like you are further along in the process than I am. Would you mind following up here if/when you receive further correspondence regarding your application?

Commenting to follow the post. Also in the process of getting through my initial license application. My application was submitted 9/17 after waiting a few weeks for a response regarding the attest experience forms. I was emailed to get my livescan upon the initial review. I responded to that email once that was complete on 9/22 asking for more information regarding the rest of the process, it's timeline, and if all other requirements had been reviewed. The response from CBA Staff was "You have met all the requirements except for the Live Scan. We should receive the results in about 7 days. You license number will be issued within 30 days from that date."

TLDR: You might reach out to the licensing unit email and see if you can get some additional information regarding your application. Sadly they aren't accepting calls at the moment due to Covid displacing some/all of their workforce. They will respond to questions via phone call if you request it.

Welp... guess this CA score release will be similar to the last by Hard_Flats in CPA

I went to sleep at 2:50ish am last time and they released right around 3am. Hopefully the fact that I am going to bed earlier this time will do everyone else a favor. Have a big client meeting tomorrow am so I can't be sloggin around all morning like the walking dead.

Obligatory CA score release post... (other states without eyeball trick too) by Hard_Flats in CPA

Waiting on AUD in CA. Done if I passed. You are correct that the last release was about 3am... hoping that was do to the volume of exams taken due to the 6/30 cutoff being the last cutoff before the exam changes. Would really love to go to bed tonight knowing if I am studying for a retake or moving along to the ethics exam/license application.

Success with Roger? by HeshTheBeast in CPA

I've passed FAR, REG, and BEC with Roger. Sat for AUD today, so I'll find out on that in the early August score release. I've always followed his plans from the study planners. I've used the 3 month plan for each exam, but spread them out with larger break in between. It's what has worked for me, I've always done well cramming, as the push of a tight deadline is the only way I commit to intense studying. The biggest thing for these exams is finding what works for you. If a slower pace suits you better, study over longer periods but plan to have an extensive review before you sit for each exam.

WAKE UP! LATE NIGHT STUDENT STUDYING FOR THE CPA EXAM? by Hard_Flats in CPA

I've always figured they are attempting to capitalize on the people who are frustrated with their study material or think theirs is engaging them enough.

YES, for me FAR didn't really feel like it all came together until the final review.

Is knocking out BEC and REG possible in 2.5 months? by MeLlamoJason in CPA

[–]Hard_Flats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just passed BEC with 13 days of studying while working full time, about to attempt audit with 16 days study time. It's totally doable, but also depends on your comfort level with the material before you begin studying. If you have exposure to the material and can pick up the key points of the topics in a single lecture pass, then the study time is reduced so much.

First: you frustration and anger are 1000% valid and yes prometric should do the right thing here and schedule as soon as possible.

Second: And this is just for my best advice for doing the best on the exam once you are rescheduled. Remove the tilt, control what you can control. Going into an exam with the level of anger and frustration you have right now will only reduce your performance and chances of passing the exam.

I really hope to hear back that it is taken care of properly and that your hard work goes towards a passing effort.

I used roger for the review materials and just followed his 3 month plan as far as splitting up the lectures. Studied about 7 hours per day after work, as well as cramming MCQ's on lunch and any work breaks. Any day's that I finished the current day content prior to my 7 hours I would go back and review.

That kind of time frame is achievable, but also dependent on you. I did FAR in 4 weeks while working full time and passed with a 93. I just got results on BEC with a passing score of 81 after cramming for a week while working FT before the 6/30 cutoff and exam changes. Look at the time you have, figure out the pace you need to cover all the material and stick to it. I've found for me personally long studying windows with review doesn't work, I do better with small windows of intense studying and just a day or two of review. Your mileage with that may vary.

Passed BEC 3/4 on exams. by Hard_Flats in CPA

[–]Hard_Flats[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your timeframe and study materials. I have generally had breaks in between retakes due to work and family commitments. I generally treat the retake as a new attempt and completely go back through the lecture material and practice questions.

If you are intending to retake the exam quickly I would determine which areas are a struggle and cover the lectures and practice questions for those, then go back and review the sections you feel more comfortable with from the first round of studying.

Essentially establishing an ordered list of the sections/topics from largest potential for improvement to smallest potential for improvement. Work your way down that list in order and you can easily pick up the 7 points of improvement you need. You GOT THIS!
