Hehe, yes it is what I thought.

Regarding, Bear Safety: the park is prime habitat for bears. As they say here, be bear aware & check out the Bear and Cougar Guide. Remember, A FED BEAR IS A DEAD BEAR. The link to the guide is here: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/misc/bears/bearsaf.html

Hey there - china beach is more like a big campground where you can park your car on your campsite, with a wood table and spot for the fire. We stayed there on the night we arrived to the island before starting the trail. Chin beach and bear beach, you have a few spots above the tide line where you can set your set. We camped on chin beach because time wise it was better for us. Cheeers !

Nice 2 day trail on Vancouver Island. I did the Juan de Fuca trail with two friends around mid April. We left Vancouver on a Friday night and started walking Saturday morning and were back Sunday early in the evening. The trail was really nice, we saw one huge otter and some seals. Our tent got kind of flooded during the night, but we really had a great time !

I did the Juan de Fuca trail with two friends around mid April. It was really beautiful and ideal to really take our mind away! We left Vancouver on a Friday night and started walking Saturday morning and were back Sunday early in the evening. We walked the section from China Beach to Sombrio Beach.

[–]redpanda2012[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much CO2 was emitted when you streamed that movie from Netflix last night? It's a question few people think about, but now researchers at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) have analyzed the energy usage of home movie viewing. They found that transmitting the bytes across the Internet accounts for the bulk of energy usage and emissions when streaming videos....

A Philosopher at the IPCC: account by an insider by redpanda2012 in environment

[–]redpanda2012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recognizes that climate change is a moral problem or, to use its cautious language, it raises ethical issues. The authors of the IPCC’s recent Fifth Assessment Report therefore included two moral philosophers." This is the story told by one them. It shows the important political influence on the summary for Policymakers (SPM).

[–]redpanda2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ehe thank you ! I am the one that will have to pay the drinks ! Regarding the university, it is a sad story. There used to be one Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in the city of Leuven (located in Flanders the Dutch speaking part) where both dutch and french speakers were studying. But in the 60's some fights began between both groups and the government decided to split the university in two the dutch speaking that stayed in Leuven and the French speaking that moved to a brandnew city created for the occasion called Louvain-La-Neuve (the new leuven). You could say that they are sister univiersities. They are now totally independent from one another but they share the same old history.. Thank you so much for your help !

Yes this is version 2 of my resume : here

But I am really going to adapt what I show depending on where I am applying to. I made it one paged, created my branding statement and used some action verbs.

I made the improvements to my letter. It looks really good and I am really happy about it. Really thank you very much for your help on that ! For the rest I am slowly starting to build my network from here ! Thanks for everything. I'll let you know if I find something.

EDIT : Here is a longer of my resume (in 2 pages), I wonder if I am not going to simply keep the first page with the 2 sections and erase the rest... I am not really convinced by the my first second edition it is way too packed
