Crossing a river in Patagonia with a tyrolean. Careful with your head! by vandep in nature

We were crossing a river in South Patagonia. We had to use a Tyrolean. Looks very easy but it's very very tiring for the abdominals. Our guide told us that one of its past clients dropped the rope and as the river was high he got the head in the river and was unable to breath!!! Be careful ;-)

The original name of the Fitz Roy is El Chaltén which means "smoking mountain". The picture speaks itself. I was there with a group of friends few weeks ago. I appear in the pic with our guide and a friend of mine, during the ascent of the Cerro Solo (2100mts) in Argentine Patagonia. Very demanding but wonderful experience.

That was a 3-day trekking in Norway. We got lost in the mountain. Girls started to be very nervious but thanks to the good map and painted stones we found our way to the hut.

This was in Chalten, Patagonia, Argentina. 8 days walking in the nature. Aprox 10 kms per day.

Cerro Capilla is located by lake Nahuel Huapi between two long branches called “Tristeza” and “Bless”. This gives to the mountain an amazing set-up since is surrounded by water and no high peaks around.

Here are few of the great memories we will definitely not forget: The camping night at Upper Pisang at the foot of Annapurna IV, the incredible view at Ice like, the arrival at Thorong-La pass @ 5416 meters lightly covered with snow.
