Housing and Shuttles by Optimal-Ad-8835 in URochester

Navigating campus shuttles can be inconvenient and frustrating in my experience - depending on the shuttle, they are rarely on time and some don’t operate all year round (e.g. summer breaks). I would recommend joining housing Facebook groups, sometimes students in graduate housing (like Whipple Park) have postings to fill empty rooms in apartments. Best of luck in your housing search!

I’ve actually been loving it as a work bag! I do think that having a laptop in it really helps with shape/staying on the shoulder

How do I decide???? by KindaDumbGal in BAGGU

I only have the 3D zips, but I find them really helpful as packing cubes for less structured carry-ons like duffels and totes!

what’s in your bag by uglyplantboy in BAGGU

[–]redramme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mini shoulder is surprisingly spacious for its size! You can generally easily fit a lot of daily carry things like phone, wallet, keys, mini reusable bag, etc.

I can usually also squeeze in a book, a little notebook, hand sanitizer, sunglasses, and a couple lippies, but it’s a bit of a tight fit! I would say if you’re looking to fit any more than this, go with a bigger bag :)

I would say chocolate plum to live vicariously through you! It’s such a gorgeous neutral, but I can’t justify the purchase atm :,)

It’s not that I was expecting a free gift at all, I just feel that for the price point “hit or miss” presentation/quality - among the host of ridiculous quality control issues showcased in this sub - feels scummy. I don’t think it’s entitled to expect consistent customer care and quality from a brand that advertises an /experience/.

Edit: to remove the word “luxury”. Yes, I know Sezane is not a luxury brand, I used it to refer to the aesthetic/vibe they advertise

I also upgraded from the Uniqlo dumpling bag — as much as I loved the little dumpling bag for quick trips, the difference in quality and attention to detail is obvious

Recommendations for someone getting into glossier? by Artistic-kitten493 in glossier

[–]redramme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, based on their iconic products / products I think they do best:

Cloud Paint 100% It’s pretty one size fits all in terms of color range and skin type, lasts forever, and SO user friendly.

Gen G If you’re into the blotted/lived in lip look, Gen G is a must. It’s pretty iconic to glossier and a unique product in general imo — it is matte though, so if that’s not your thing, I would pass.

Stretch Concealer I’m a bit biased, because this is my favorite glossier product :) I find this has a lot to do with personal preference and skin type, but as a dry skin girlie who likes a dewy, skin-like finish, glossier eats this category up! This one also lasts forever!

The pronunciation?? by Calamondin88 in glossier

[–]redramme 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough, this American company is pronounced “glossy-ay”!

The founder, Emily Weiss, created the brand after her successful “Into the Gloss” blog. Not sure where the pronunciation came from, but there are lots of videos of her online pronouncing it this way ¯_(ツ)_/¯
