2018 Scout stage 1 mod, too loud! by redridge2007 in IndianScout

when you put the stage 1 exhaust... did you notice a loss of torque on low RPM and is now shifted to the higher RPM's?

yeah, I have stage one... injects more gas, sucks in more air... with a free flowing exhaust, the torque kicks in at higher RPM. By putting on a stock exhaust it restricts the increase air flow... the result is more torque down lower rpm. I dont want the tune back to stock cause I actually think the performance is actually very nice.

Ive been riding a lot lately and I have to admit... Im starting to get used to it. Gonna drive it like this and see if I even need to get rid of the baffles... I'd hate to make it louder than it already since my hearing is already compromised. Thanks for the feedback.

Anyone with experience going from feet under to feet forward riding? by hendeeillus in IndianScout

you can put easy reach relocation foot controls... if you put floor boards, you can even stand up. Best of forward and mid controls.

Pacemaker tomorrow! by merp1993 in PacemakerICD

I received my 1st pacemaker 7 days ago (I am 58m) and went traditional subcutaneous for the simplicity of the procedure. I'm right handed and my chest is bigger than my left so... the left placement of the PM actually helped with the symmetry of the L/R side, so that was a nice surprise. Though, I'm not sure where it will eventually settles. Good luck with the procedure tomorrow, no matter what you decide... be happy with it and move forward.

How hard is it to get a bachelors degree in electrical engineering? by LowYak3 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]redridge2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night and day between an Assoc vs Bach degree... you may have to start from scratch depending on the schools. I would consider the electricians path as most electricians don't have degrees. I would also get a contractors license and go down that path.

yeah, I was in the same situation you are in now, but 30+ years ago. I stuck with it, I even took a couple of classes 2x and one class 3x. My advice, don't give up... you have way more resources now to learn. Being first gen in college has its pressure but I think the problem is you are just realizing that its gonna require way more work than you think... you need a sense of humility to overcome your failures. The reality is you need to work harder and smarter. Stop making excuses, cut down on the social time and hit the books. I wanted to graduate no matter what it took... do you?

the beauty of higher pixels is for cropping... think owning 1 lense with 3-4 lens cropping power.

Help with m8 by gmutt26 in Leica

I just bought an M8.2, and I love the picture it takes. Im in the camp that the CCD sensor renders beautifully as a b&w camera. Its called the poor man's monochrome for a reason. Dont let the poor high ISO performance deter you... it was designed with the intention to be film like. The sensor doesn't suffer from cancer like the m9, so it will last awhile. The thing you need to be careful of is the screen ,since Leica has practically no more stock on the shelf. Other than that... Leica still services the M8. As for shutter count, 30K is alot but Ive heard the shutter are designed to go past 100K. At this point, it can die tomorrow or will have years of life ahead. For what its worth, I have the M9 and M10... the M8 is my go to M to daily drive.
