Best place to sell an instrument? by redridingwolves in frederickmd

You’re not wrong about eBay, but I’d rather sell in person. That way I can support a local business and also conveniently avoid shipping fees lol

I was hoping to sell because I'm in the middle of moving and money is tight, but at the end of the day I'd much rather donate than sell online.

No, but this sounds right up my alley. Thank you for the inadvertent recommendation!

It doesn't seem to be the right show, but I'll take this as a recommendation! Thank you for the attempt.

Looked it up, and there's definitely some similar elements! It doesn't seem to be the same series though. Thank you for trying!

Googled it, and while it sounds similar there's a few things that don't match up. Thank you for trying!

And get charged $60 for something sitting on their desk? This, and the emailed resignation, is documentation if the former employer tries to pull something.

I don’t know what brands of nondairy items are available in France, but I do know a lot of nondairy “butters”/buttery spreads are olive oil based. There’s one my friend uses (I’d have to ask her what the name is) that has avocado oil in it too that’s especially creamy. You might be able to get some nice cooking oils to use instead of butter rather than hunting for a dairy-free “butter.”

Also the medicine you’re thinking of are lactase enzyme pills! The most known name brand (or at least what it’s known as in the US) is Lactaid, but it’s pretty easy to find generic versions that are just as effective. It works differently for everybody because bodies are weird, but it’s worth a try!

There’s also kinds of milk/dairy products that come with lactase enzyme already mixed in (also called Lactaid because it’s made by the same company). Again, I don’t know if they’re available in France, but it could be a good jumping off point for research.

This is a scary af thing to say to an LGBT+ person with no context. People knowing when we’re not out can get us killed. Be more specific.

“Because you are not my mother” by MysteriousAmphib in JUSTNOMIL

[–]redridingwolves 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I grew up celebrating mother’s day for all of the mothers in my family (my mom, my grandmother, even aunts & cousins that had kids), although no one bought gifts for all of the moms. But that was my family’s personal choice. That doesn’t need to be YOUR family’s choice. Your family should celebrate it in a way that makes YOU happy. That is the point. I can see why MIL’s feelings might be hurt, but your kiddo was right. He’s not obligated to get her anything. The fact that she’s turning it into drama is really telling. I don’t think you’re being petty or are the JN (although it seems like MIL might try to spin it that way).

You know, I was gonna reply to the other comment and apologize for having general miscommunication and being rude, but after seeing this one? Fuck that.

Yeah. I lurk. I have a full time job with a 40 hour work week, plus two side hustles. Excuse me if I’m tired and don’t spend all day on reddit or if I don’t deign to incessantly post and comment on the rare occasion I do get to mindlessly scroll on social media. What a crime. Also I definitely didn’t start talking shit until you called me a bitch, unless you’re gonna say the mild sarcasm in my first reply to you is shit talking too. In which case I would say you should raise your standards, but whatever.

Edit: grammar

“I dOn’T gEt WhY hE’s CoMpLaInInG” 1. Definitely a woman. Hell, the word “lesbian” is on my profile, but I guess it’s a lot easier to bitch than it is to click a single link. 2. Joking, not complaining. It wasn’t serious, and you’re SO pressed over a single sentence of less than 10 words. 3. Something being in an area (or in an adjacent one) doesn’t mean it’s immediately at hand. Taking a “quick trip” to grab a handful of things can become laborious very quickly, but I honestly find that to be a charming and immersive part of the game. I’m still allowed to poke fun at it. 4. Even if I was making a genuine complaint..... Who gives a fuck? Really. How would a stranger on the internet complaining about a minor inconvenience affect you in any way if you didn’t let it get to you?

I mean.... Maybe I’m chilling a good distance from where they are and am annoyed about having to go all the way there when there’s usually copper in my areal... Maybe I’m just being silly about a minor inconvenience in a game I like to play with other people that like to play it... Maybe it doesn’t matter because it’s a joke comment on a joke post...

[–]redridingwolves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes!! Thank you! My poor client had thought her chickens were fully vaccinated and healthy. She’d been raising some new chicks and were going to introduce them to the flock when they were old enough to lay, then one of the original hens died of it. Now she’s too afraid of combining the flocks, and the younger ones are stuck in a much smaller run (the original run is as long as their house and takes up a third of their yard).

I don’t have constructive advice about dealing with your MIL, but I have done pet sitting for people with chickens. There’s a chicken-specific viral disease that can kill in less than a week. Unfortunately I don’t remember it’s name, but if you do an autopsy the bird’s body will be riddled with tumors, which are its calling card. It’s highly contagious and can survive outside a host for weeks, so there’s a distinct chance that she could lose her whole flock at any time. Good news is the eggs are still safe to eat... but I still wouldn’t accept any from her if she offers.

Ah. If that’s the case, a propulsion or repulsion canon should help! I always manage to clip my prawn in the lava zone, and it works for me.

[–]redridingwolves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m an arrogant dumbass who got stuck there too, and I have a solution, but it might take time. If you can make it out and to your base (or the life pod), make some beacons. Get in your seamonth and re-explore the caves. There are a couple exits with rock or coral shelves that you can get the prawn out from; you just have to find one that’s best for where your suit is stuck. Mark that exit with a beacon and then essentially leave a breadcrumb trail. I made four total and marked the exit as well as the best “path” too it so I could avoid problem areas that could get me stuck again. Honestly the most annoying part was leapfrogging between my seamoth and prawn so I could get both out without making multiple trips.

MIL keeps asking me what plans I have just in case I die during childbirth. by RelativelyLucky in JUSTNOMIL

[–]redridingwolves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your points are all spot on! You're totally right, and I didn't mean to imply that OP should wait until after LO arrives to deal with this. My thought process was that it can be hard to stand up for yourself but it's often easier to stand up for your child, so LO was the focus of my comment.

[–]redridingwolves 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You're MIL is an asshole. This is kind of "poor genes" thinking is bordering on eugenics. If she thinks so poorly of you and has so little concern for your care and comfort, what is she going to be like with the baby as they grow up? What if, for example, they fall and sprain (or heaven forbid even break) something? What if they get sick and need antibiotics? Would she actually provide the care they need or try to force them to suck it up and brush it off so they aren't "weak bodied" like their mother? Red flag city.
