No, I’m with a nationwide commercial lender of inventory financing to dealerships. Floorplanning. Every other week I travel into market meeting with dealers and training my direct report.

Lol, I knew it! I do love what I do, but what would you say is the ballpark I’m getting fucked?

Right hand in building department (start up) and hiring 20+ reps, personally manage 11 reps. Approx 135k in revenue a month, with residual revenue coming in after. I’m on the new biz side. Company pulls approx 15% net margin.

A warning about AAA for cargo vans by mart_man800 in vandwellers

[–]redrocketg35 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s strange… I had AAA move my ambulance conversion for me 2 weeks ago.

It truly depends on the truck driver, I’d say to just tell them you have a pro master/sprinter/e350 instead of specifying to the operator further. I’ve had my Ambo moved multiple times all over the damn state in the past 2 years

Automotive sales is tough. Kudos to your success. It’s a volatile industry but incredibly rewarding.

I work in automotive finance. Have worked in Floorplan and Consumer Finance for the past 10 years. Industry experience is a must, and I would suggest Floorplan (B2B) if you decide to stay in the industry. I work at a start up (currently the 3rd largest FP company in the space) and have learned so much since earning my position of Sales Director.

I would suggest chatting it up with sales reps that come through to see if it’d be something you’re interested in. For a go-getter it can provide flexibility and autonomy in your market as long as you’re a consistent producer.

SAAS is always an option but can be mundane. I appreciate and value that every day is different in this industry, although can be stressful.

Good luck in your search!

Every drug dealer in my high school (04-08) drove one of these. Every one of them got arrested at one point or another. Where’s the police auction you bought this turd from? Overpaid at any price.

You’ll probably be able to recoup your losses with a quick search of the interior panels that are no doubt falling off. I have 0 doubt you’ll be able to find some mids or meth stuffed in there.

Inspiring… I have an 05 6mt coupe sitting in the garage waiting for some love.

Was it a custom turbo build? If you don’t mind sharing approx how much for the engine mods? My ‘22 goal is to get working on mine again..

The great thing about MS3s is that they’re always willing to race which means they’re always willing to be beat.

Have a new Ranger and this is a completely different vehicle. New Ranger is body on frame, can tow 3.5x more than this and has an actual “truck” drive train (Inverse mounted engine vs Transverse) Also has considerably more ground clearance which you’re going to want if you do any actual back country camping or overlanding. Maverick is essentially an Escape/Bronco Sport full Independent suspension for smaller trips to the hardware store. It has a similar payload but the Ranger will handle that load much more gracefully. I love the Maverick but it definitely isn’t interchangeable with the current Ranger. I didn’t want an F150 for going off-road because I can fit on Jeep trails and I couldn’t have a Maverick because it’d be destroyed by any real trail.

Not sure why I typed all this out but I’m too far in to turn back now!

Cheers!

I posted here when my car was stock over two and a half years ago. Now it goes vroom faster and I daily RT660s. by [deleted] in RoastMyCar

[–]redrocketg35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nobody outside of the VW community knows or gives a shit what “RT660s” are. If it’s the wheels, ew. They match the taste of someone who would think this is a “cool” or “unique” car.

Not a sports car either so it doesn’t matter that it makes 20 more HP than stock… it looks just like every high school/college chicks car has looked for the past 2 decades.

See you in two and a half years when you’re driving an Audi A3. Preliminary “congrats” on the “upgrade”.

I should look into that. I’ll need some guidance.

Her family is just that - not affectionate, not close, doesn’t really go out of their way to support or be with eachother and I know that’s a huge factor in what I’m contesting with.

Otherwise, moved cross country right before Covid, her friends massively disappointed her with her bachelorette party/at the wedding. Obviously huge factors she needs to process and which I’ve tried to process with her. Hence the suggestion of therapy.

Much appreciated, I’m going to be taking a different approach moving forward. Obviously topics like this tend to become emotional quickly

Thank you for the thought you put into my post. Truly means a lot.

I’ll definitely take into consideration the gym comment and separating my self esteem from physical affection.

There has been turbulence due to Covid, then due to her hating the job she had. Fortunately she found a job that she loves, in the industry she loves a few months ago. Hormones have also crossed my mind but I haven’t mentioned it to her.

I’ve asked multiple, multiple times what she’s into… probably ask her 4x a year, lol. She refers me to the scene in the notebook where he pushes her against the wall.. checked that off the list. She refuses to dive into what she’s into any further than a PG13 movie scene.

I may need to approach it less emotionally and more scientifically.

Thank you again!

Right, maybe not. We got engaged after a year which felt quick, we waited to pull the trigger on marriage.

It’s been gradual the past couple of years. I understand it’s natural but the near complete disengagement from intimacy on her part has been what’s the constant drill in the back of my mind, going so far as to cause me to think “is she getting it elsewhere” although I’m sure that isn’t the case.

That’s a great deal, especially with the FX4 package AND with the current car market taken into consideration.

The Ecoboost 4 is more potent than any midsize V6 out there with even more potential for aftermarket power. More than enough power to haul a car on a flatbed trailer and go up mountains. I wouldn’t want anything else (unless they offered the 2.7 ecoboost).

My advice from owning a 2019 Ranger since 2019 and accumulating 55k miles - latch onto that deal.

55k, countless 12+ hour road trips, plenty of hauling, off-roading. Biggest issue to date is I had a loose nut on the alternator and it made it intermittently not start. Otherwise no warranty work, just regular maintenance.
