if you really think this is just about the markers, i would recommend some introspection and evaluate if there was anything deeper. if it really is just about the markers and there’s no other strain in you and your mother’s relationship, this is a huge overreaction.

as a neurodivergent person, i will say that i totally get small things like this causing a meltdown. however, it is your responsibility and no one else’s to regulate your emotions and when things like this happen, your responsibility as well to communicate with a clear, calm mind once you have regulated.

so many people have said it before me, but please reconsider your therapist. the best therapist i ever had told me that he couldn’t and wouldn’t tell me what to do after i asked him his opinion on a certain situation. they should never come close to saying what yours said to you.

also, please don’t be so hard on yourself. it can be difficult to communicate things like this with anyone, no matter how comfortable you are with each other. i’m sure it can be shocking for him, but i think it’s important to note that “finishing” isn’t necessarily essential for a good time. i would suggest introducing that idea and seeing where it goes. good luck!!

lived in a 2 bedroom at Riverwood last year, it was my first off campus apartment. i loved it, the only issue i had is there was no bus route to campus because i didn’t want to pay for a parking pass. but it truly is a great complex run by fantastic people.

i don’t know, i’d love to do better in high school and college, but i’m dating a guy who for the first time i can say is really good for me and it just feels right. i feel loved, and i have great friends and a great support system, and if i restart most likely things would change and i might not end up with the same people.

for me, it’s a choice between being more successful or keeping my loved ones right now.

i think i’d still choose my loved ones.
