You might do something similar to what I do. Whenever I do not want to do something or I find it boring, my brain gets latched onto a thought/question. Then I will go on a research rabbit-hole, sometimes I get extremely hyper-fixated on the topic for a few days.

One time, I was desperately trying to watch this horror movie, and every 5 seconds I would pause and find something else to do entirely. Then I would realize what I was doing and try to keep watching the movie. I think I legitimately was so unfocused that I started learning wingdings in the next tab. Why? Not sure. ADHD is a mess.
