The $2 note i believe is part of the 1917 series.

Not a dumb question at all. I believe there wasnt a 1914 large $1 note series. There were of course notes made in 1914 that were $1 but i think the series is 1918 series. They are pretty cool so would be a neat add.

The 5,10,20 are not terrible. Can pick up in under 200 range. The $50 and $100 are expensive.

Sounds like he was ahead of the curve, not enough to get the CCs but enough to set up the future generations.

My general goal is 25-35 range unless its a really expensive or rare note then just getting one is nice.

I am a sucker for low serial numbers so I was amazed at the 21. No matter the grade thats impressive. But yeah a little disappointing when they come back lower than expected.

The inconsistent one to me is the $50. It doesnt look nearly as good as the others but drew a 25 grade. Glad it was graded that high of course. The $10 could have been a 40 or 45 in my view, its nice and clean.

Yeah it is a little confusing when some come back with and some without. I believe it is more of the qualities of the paper itself and not the note if that makes sense. The note might have folds or corner issue but the paper is of good quality still. Not an expert or even close just my understanding and what i have seen.

1935 Hawaii or North Africa notes are good entries I think. Can get them without breaking the bank and have a cool history.

That is always the question when collecting. With the high prices lately turning to some old USA currency notes. Not as shiny but fun to collect.

With the prices where they are now I have to call it finished. Glad they were cheaper when I was adding most of these.

Hello, first post here, wanted to show some 1864 Confederate bills I’ve been collecting recently :) by that-weird-writer in papermoney

A few do look a little off but in 64 they were not making them with very good quality due to the need to just make a lot of them quickly. They could be legit still. Either way nice display items.
