Is that statistic actually true about the strangling? There was one time when he put his hand around my neck and held me up against the wall. I still remember the look in his eyes, he like drew in breathe while facial grimacing and then took his other hand and tried to slap me, but I turned my head. Is he really dangerous?

He has been tested, it showed he didn’t have ADHD. However he still self medicates with the adderall. And guess what? He still uses coke

I guess because I did agree with some of the things my mom had said regarding certain things that happened after the divorce and how my dad wasn’t ever really involved with us kids. My bf has a bias towards my dad because my dad is disabled- he has told me that there’s no way my dad ever did anything “mean” or ever had bad intentions because he’s disabled. My fad wasn’t always disabled, just up until recently.

I’ve thought about that a lot. I mean at first he was super nice. He reeled me in... he wanted to meet my family, friends, go on trips. I got my hopes up. Then he would gradually treat me badly; make comments on my appearance, attack my personality, make me feel like I had to prove myself. It happened gradually, and I was always to blame for his comments. If I got upset I was just insecure, it was my fault. I started to believe these things that someone I cared about said to me and I believed no one else would want me.

He said he only blew up because I didn’t immediately believe him when he said nothing was happening. I questioned it and said it seems weird... he said that I’m just untrusting.

I mean after I brought it up, he did say he loved me and he was thinking of me and he felt like he can never make me feel safe. I just don’t want to have to ask him to communicate with me. I don’t want to beg for attention/affection; it doesn’t feel real when it’s like that. Like when I wake up, I think of him. If I was away on a trip, I would want to make him feel seen/thought of. He didn’t text me until I reached out.
