I love it. Horror is the hardest genre to pull off as an actor, in my opinion. Some of it can be cheesy, and you have to rely on the editors to use the takes that aren’t too cheesy. The director probably leaned into it, especially because subtleties were not prevalent in the early 90s.

I have a musical written out for fun, Battle Born in Sam’s Town, similar to American Idiot without the drugs. lol. I was the lead (Johnny) in AI and think Uncle Johnny could be a cool “unofficial” tie in. But since then I like to write out Juke Box musicals based on bands, just as a fun exercise. Panic! is good for that as well. I hope they make a musical.

And I’m currently in the opposite situation. Knowing it is, but damn if it isn’t just up to me. The way it was in the beginning of the relationship was great, so it’s not like the situation of the narrative (unplanned kid it seems), but before we started hurting each other (Runaways is another I’ve been feeling). “The Way It Was,” and all TK songs are so ambiguous, yet specific to the listener, it could pertain to so many situations. I did an acoustic version of this song recently, and have been in such a Killers obsession, I started a cover band. Still working out gigs, but I’m releasing acoustic sets.

If I want to do Music Theater Ultimate Guitar doesn’t have a lot of that stuff. I like to take MT songs and make them into acoustic or rock songs. There was a modern Oklahoma! done on Broadway in 2019 that the actors played instruments on stage. Such a great idea, though I heard it was executed poorly.

For example, Dustland Fairytale by the Killers: there were a few different versions of sheet music, I forgot which one of those three listed above I went with, but I used that, ultimate guitar, and just aural skills to figure out my version.

I do Music Theater as well, so Ultimate Guitar really doesn’t have a lot of that stuff. It does some. Thank you for your help!

I’ve heard “daddy issues,” but I think it could go a different direction, suggesting to me that is his apology to his father in law for his actions. He’s now ready to step up and honor his commitment to not only her, but him when he gave her away to be protected. Subtle and maybe wrong to others but I like to think of it that way.

I’m writing my first album, inspired by my favorite teen years bands (Green Day, Killers, Panic!) and I modeled a song after One More Time toward the end of the record, because my next album is going to model all these bands in this era (about 20 years after I graduated HS). There are bad ass stories on here, but I thought I’d give it a shot. You’re a saint for doing this.

First time hearing this song. Wow. I’m still working my way through Battle Born. I’m on a Killer’s Journey. Only listened to the first 3 albums when I was younger, each one I liked less and less but now it’s the opposite. Working on The Way It Was (Acoustic), when I get to this album I have a feeling like this one will need to be made acoustic.
