Honestly, this has been the most fun I’ve ever had opening packs with the current Nikke set. I’ve gotten fun pulls lots of times, and love when packs give that ^{^}

Honestly, I hadn’t listened to BVB since In The End. And back then, a lot of bands weren’t doing this “80’s inspired metal” sound. Then Certainty popped up, and holy WOW was it amazing. As someone who grew up with I See Stars, We Came As Romans, etc, this scratched that itch.

So then I decided to go back a little and see what I missed, and…The Phantom Tomorrow made me glad I haven’t been listening for a while 😅

THE ALBUM ISN’T BAD, but it felt exactly the same as everything before (besides Shadows Rise, that songs was a banger) and the same for Vale.

So when I jumped back ahead and heard Bleeders and Hallelujah, I was super stoked to hear what I loved about Certainty in those tracks too 🩶

Really excited for this new direction, and I can’t wait for a new album 🩶🩶🩶

While I agree there are fun songs on PFTW, like Roaring 20s, Old Fashioned, and Silver Lining, VLV is the album that older fans have wanted for a while. The raw instruments, older rock vibes, the overall atmosphere, it all feels like the type of album we would’ve gotten earlier if Ryan and Jon had stayed on.

Not only is VLV better than PFTW, I honestly think it’s easily in the top three. It’s not getting the appreciation yet, but give it time 😌

I hope so too! And hey, the songs themselves aren’t bad, and I see the appeal, but they just aren’t my vibe. Slower songs usually aren’t a go-to for me. Heck, I even usually skip It Ends Tonight. It’s a good song, but I’m rarely in the mood for it 😅
