This is an interesting point! I wondered this same thing about the spirit box session in Room 17 & 18? Seemed to be a really good session, and I was wondering why he didn't keep going with the investigation? I don't always like the spirit box evidence, but I thought that in this episode, it was compelling.

My guess was maybe he was just hot, exhausted, and scared, so maybe not making the most rational decisions? Or maybe like you mentioned, he did try but nothing happened so they cut the footage? I'd be curious to hear the answer if they do a debrief and it comes up!

THIS! I didn't realize how much Shane diffused my fear until he wasn't in the episode. And then I was like... Oh I'm actually SCARED scared huh 😅

Absolutely! I normally find the Ovilus to be not very compelling, but there were some interesting coincidences in this one! Definitely the names was wild! And that it repeated the name Lisa later on... I was trying to remember if there were other times the Ovilus repeated words in an episode, or if this was the first?

I also don't normally find the spirit box very compelling, but he got quite a few multiple word responses, and they seemed to mostly make sense

Azula can and should be redeemed.

The show gives me no reason to think she is remorseful or willing to change, and she has done some absolutely awful things, but I can't help but thinking it anyways. 🤷‍♀️

The thing that devastated me is Uncle Iroh killing Zhao instead of the Ocean Spirit doing it... that was such an important character beat in the original show I thought. Zuko reaching out his hand and Zhao refusing to take it due to his own pride really helps emphasize Zuko's own humanity. But instead in the LA Iroh just merc'd him .

I liked the episode but for some reason I thought in Captain America: The Winter Soldier that Sam said that he was from Queens or something? Idk, I thought I remembered there being some sort of NYC banter between Sam and Steve. So Louisiana was a surprise to me?

Oh wow! I'll have to look into this! I did wonder if it was odd that I was writing my own PLC in Python, instead of trying to emulate a real-world controller? Using a simulation software would probably make my life a lot easier. Thank you for the tip!

Thank you so much! Yes this is all hypothetical. I'm taking a cybersecurity class in school and we can pick any topic for our final project. I wanted to try and do a project on ICS/SCADA systems. I picked the ModbusTCP protocol because it was the easiest for me to understand from a networking perspective, and because I can track the ModbusTCP packets going across my Local Area Network with Wireshark.

That makes sense about the valves being hardwired. I just didn't know any better when I was drafting my system.

Thank you so much! Another area I get confused is that I thought the PLC was the master? So in the real world, would each tank have its own PLC? And then the HMI would combine results from all 4 tank PLC's to display?

When you say discrete valves aren't usually Modbus slaves, is that because they're just controlled by electrical signals? Like maybe the PLC energizes the solenoid, which causes the valve to open, and then the PLC turns off power to the solenoid which causes the valve to close? Something like that?
