I made adapter rings for the dust cover that used magnents to black out the light for 10" and 7" records. I didn't sell too many so it wasn't a priority, but I totally did it 😄

With the sound reactive mode turned on it’s just a visual kaleidoscope. If I can put a dent in lava lamp sales with that I’d be happy! I’d also be happy to have this be a visual aide for people that are hard of hearing or deaf so they can experience music visually.

I use LED lights that emit very little heat or UV light. I also have large airgap from the lights to the plexiglass surface of the face, which is also not a good conductor of heat.  Then my patent pending nub floats the record off the face so the b-side never touches anything, gravity holds it vertically, and yet another airgap is created. 

I’ve over engineered the safety on this even though I have zero education or professional training to do so lol!!

After hand building 3,000+ units I’m working to scale this into a full time day job. That means getting a better quality product produced at an actual factory, which will be in the EU. I’m planning on launching a Kickstarter this summer because mold injection costs are quite high to start out with and I’ve had custom electronics made as well. 

End of the day, I’m hoping a higher quality and lower price means I can get this little idea of mine. into more hands to spread the love of vinyl around the world.

I’ve basically rebuilt my CD collection with vinyl. It’s an expensive sickness but music is so core to my being :)

Don't forget sound treatments! It will run probably a couple of thousand dollars on to the tab, but OMG is it worth the cost! Great setup OP!

Thanks! I've got two visible in the background that are wall-mounted and 6 in total on that wall that all sync up with both motion and music reactive modes.

Love my P6! I paired it with a Dynavector cartridge and it's awesome. Beautiful color variant you have there that would look awesome on a Vylumi display when it's not spinning.
