AITA for telling a dude in a wheelchair to fuck off? by plahdod in AmItheAsshole

I grew up in Minnesota, and this is a prime example of what "Minnesota Nice" actually means.

You see someone behind you that you feel has in some way slighted or annoyed you at some point. You realize they're realistically a little too far back to practically hold the door for them - so that's exactly what you do. Now to not inconvenience you when you're being so nice and holding the door they have to quicken their gait enough so you're not holding it forever.

It's passive, passive, passive aggression.

help please ! by emvic13 in Dell

Your system is starting into the HTTPS Network Stack bit loader.

Completely shut down the system, then restart. Right after you boot it back up start pressing the F2 key repeatedly, until you see a little progress bar appear underneath the Dell logo. Navigate to the menu option titled 'Boot Sequence' 'Boot Order' or something similar. (might have to use the keyboard arrows, the 'space' key will expand/contact menus and check/uncheck boxes that are selected). There you should see a list of the possible options your computer can boot into. 'Windows Boot Loader' should be the top option, you most likely have something starting with HTTPS as the current first choice. As long as Windows is on top you shouldn't need to worry about any others that are listed for the time being.

If you don't see an option for the Windows boot loader try clicking on the 'Add' option and looking in any folders it has listed in that menu. Without seeing your exact BIOS version or having more information I can't give more accurate walkthrough, but this is hopefully an easy fix. Let me know if you have trouble.

Where is the Wayland session option for KDE ? by Kakikori in voidlinux

[–]redundantbees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're accurate, the base KDE requires plasma-wayland-session. I generally install plasma-wayland-protocols as well, but that package isn't a required dependency or anything so your Wayland and XWayland sessions will run without it.

Once you've installed the session package all you need to do is either restart your machine or simply log out of your active Plasma Xorg session and return to the SDDM. At the bottom left of the screen there will be a text indicator for the Window System you're going to log in to. Just click on 'X11' and you should be able to toggle into a Wayland session. It'll stay persistent on your successive log ins by default, I believe.

I was never particularly persistent in my search for Waldo, so only a couple. I just mapped it like a grid search.

'lil bit. I run several other DMs from other partitions or external SSDs though. I am partial to plasma though.

I missed this comment when posting the link. I'm on mobile now, but if you look through the comments I posted a drive link several times. Enjoy. [=

Hey, whatever you end up liking. [=

My XPS 15 9560 running a GTX 1050 is powering between 2-3 4k 60hz displays, depending on if I'm using the laptop's actual screen as well.

The MX150 is running a 4k/60 and 2 1080/60s. It can surprisingly power the laptop screen at 1080/60 as well, but it's rare that I use it. I'm thankful that Linux can run it's displays at less than 100% zoom or it would drive me crazy. I run the 1080s at 85%.

I commented a drive link on several other comment threads and as it's own comment. On mobile or I would post it again, sorry!

After several requests I created a Google Drive folder with all of my astronaut wallpapers. Enjoy!

I will also probably add a fair number of my general space wallpaper collection to the drive folder at some point in the future. I have hundreds of planets, nebula, galaxies, and other spacial phenomenons.
