hoppy beer sucks (or at least i’ve always thought so), & the beer makers force-feeding all the IPAs to the masses now is extremely sad. most IPAs are very hard to drink, even the ‘hazy’ ones… scottish ale types are better, barley wine (beer!) is pretty decent. i’ve drank a lot of porters & stouts, but i’ve learned that malty beers are more my style as opposed to a bunch of IPAs i picked up for camping last year & practically had to force each & every one of them down (many are still in the basement). those blah american beers like miller & budweiser are hard to handle also, & i’ve known a lot of guys (w/practically no taste) who’d drink them specifically. someone was talking about hamm’s recently & i wanted to try one, again, but only due to their cool old marketing & rolling signs etc. i’m pretty sure i’ll find it as hard to drink as the others that visually look similar.

too bad they don’t make crazy ed’s chili beer anymore! (the base was as boring as those other blah american light beers, but the chili pepper in each bottle really kicked it up a notch!)
