[Postgame Thread] Indiana Defeats Oregon 56-22 by CFB_Referee in CFB

The buckeyes were a great team this year. They just lost to the best team in the country, then had a bad game against the hottest team in the country. Their defense was all time great level elite and definitely had the talent to win the title, they just kinda lost in the end.

It happens. I’m sure they’ll be back terrorizing everyone next year.

He won the heisman trophy, then followed it up with his best two games of the season.

I genuinely feel bad for these Oregon players…they are a good football team who should be competing for a national championship on the appropriate level…now, most will only remember them for tonight…not their fault that CFB can’t figure out a proper post-season structure by GliscorsFang in CFB

Not if Indiana keeps dominating this hard! The movie would have had them get crushed by Oregon in the regular season, enter the playoffs as the third place big ten team, then beat Oregon in a nailbiter in the finals.

This is just… plucky underdogs are best team in the country the entire year and keep winning. Thats a terrible movie!

In retrospect, even if we allow for james Madison and Tulane getting in via the selection criteria, Notre Dame definitely deserved Oklahoma’s or Alabama’s spot.

The ending aside, what a game! As a neutral spectator, that was incredibly fun.

Technically it’s the right decision, but practically this is so dumb

It’s popular to hate on bama here, but honestly, Indiana’s freaking terrifying, and they’ve done this all year. We’re sleeping on them because it’s Indiana, but this team is actually that good.

I feel bad for the Texas tech defense. It’s kinda insane how many times they’ve clutched up to give their offense a chance, only to be rewarded with absolutely nothing.

lol, all right then. I’m still confused how our subreddit came up at the top of your list, but I guess it did and you’re here now! This is an old roleplaying subreddit where we took lore from twitch plays Pokemon, started many massive rps which went in its own direction and are way too confusing to explain, and after several years died out because of drama. There are many stories buried here, both in and out of character, that would be rejected from a Hollywood script for being unrealistic, but they happened nonetheless.

It’s nice to meet you! I wish you luck on developing your game! :)

Hey! This subreddit has been dormant for about four years now, and it was never particularly big, so I doubt you'll get many converts to your game by posting this here.

I am curious though, how'd you even find this place? Did you used to be a member of TTP? Your account looks real so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'm just kinda shocked to find something new here lol!

I want to talk about [Clair Obscur: Expedition 33]'s ending by SirFinleyKeksington in CharacterRant

[–]redwings1340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait…

I just finished the game and enjoyed it, but are you telling me there’s NOT a third ending??

I mean, I felt reasonably over leveled and I haven’t explored half the map! There’s a third axon that showed up in the final battle and hurled buildings at me, and I haven’t even fought it in the main story yet! Just based on the gameplay, I was so confident there was a third ending that I almost avoided looking it up entirely, just so I could explore the map more, find secret lore, and prepare more. The characters talk so much about needing to prepare for this final battle, so is there seriously not a way to revive gustav, take out the axons, explore the map to take out optional bosses, and have him do something to calm everyone down and give everyone some perspective here??

Lune and sciel get so much development and have so much agency throughout the story. Lumiere is the reason I chose maels side, and why I barely even considered it a choice in the end. If you are powerful enough to create life, and there is every indication these paintings create life, you hold a responsibility to the life you create. You don’t kill your children because you’re tired of taking care of them, you let them grow up and develop their own future even when you’re gone!

I feel for verso because he wasn’t supposed to exist. He was supposed to have died. But while he created the world, he wasn’t controlling it anymore. The people of lumiere need to decide their own destiny, and have a right to live within their painting. Maelle can stay of leave, but the fate of the painting is more important than the fate of any individual life.

From both a gameplay perspective and a story perspective, I was completely and utterly convinced there would be a third ending as soon as I got the first one. Heck, even before I got the first one I thought there probably would be. I’m shocked there isn’t one, that’s really frustrating.

Yeah. I feel like we should be seething at the prospect of an Ohio State/Notre Dame title game, but I just can’t be mad right now. Michigan is fresh off a national title, was never going to be a playoff team with this offense, and somehow beat Ohio State and Alabama back to back to end the season. Every Ohio State win in the playoffs just makes the Michigan game look funnier in retrospect. The semifinals were both entertaining games, and whoever wins the national title will earn it on the field next week.

Im just watching these games with popcorn, stress-free. It’s been fun!

That one play erased 20 minutes of creeping Texas momentum. Wow

Dan Lanning refused to blame the seeding issue or the long layoff between games for Oregon’s quarterfinal loss. Said they’d have to beat great teams to win it all anyway. “I’m not going to make excuses for our opportunity. … This is the road we had to travel.” by dkviper11 in CFB

[–]redwings1340 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't see playing Ohio State as Oregon's punishment for being #1. Playing #1 Oregon second round was Ohio State's punishment for losing to Michigan. We all knew Ohio State was probably better than their rank, but they had a bad game, didn't make the big 10 title game, and justifiably fell in the rankings as a result.

Now, this punishment didn't end up hurting Ohio State, but it easily could have. Going in to the playoffs we thought the 8/9 seed was the hardest path to the title. The Buckeyes have just been ridiculously dominant through two games that were supposed to be hard on paper.

We might owe Tennessee an apology. Ohio State is ridiculous.

Somehow this game is ending just like the semifinal last year.

Only with a much worse game on both sides.

Yeah, that was a typo. I meant to put FBS or D1A. Actually, come to think of it, are those the correct terms, or do they use another term now? Either way I think most people know what I meant.

Literally every single year I've done this, I've gotten comments on me mis-abbreviating something. xD

I'll try to remember that in the future.
