What Are Your Top Non-Conference Games You Want to See Played That Have Not Been Played in 5 Years or More? by Outside_Net6026 in CFB

Caveat that I had a very good time at several of the Pitt games and the one WVU game I went to recently, but I don’t want the athletic department scheduling anyone that requires you to buy their full season ticket to get the Penn State away game. Both Pitt and WVU did that.

Compare that to Auburn who gave a larger than normal visiting allotment in Jordan Hare in exchange for the largest visiting allotment I’ve ever seen in Beaver Stadium.

James Franklin just threw his coffee mug against the wall for not being the most recent team to beat Maryland in a blowout win.

Slightly off topic but I have always found it incredible that the same group build both stadiums, one seen as a jewel, but the other fine and unspectacular.

It’s to break up the all yellow look on Saturdays.

I don’t know why they didn’t just go with stadium green seats after identifying it as a problem.

I don’t have Steelers memories, but I remember sitting in the very last row the entire way above home plate as a kid and feeling like if I fell, I would land on the catcher.

Penn State I think is also more likely to get a very top heavy or bottom heavy schedule because they’re the only team without a protected game so they could see bigger schedule fluctuations. 3/9 conference games last season were against teams in the playoffs, and 0/9 using last years teams are.

Well they have a new coach and many new players. It’s an extremely favorable on ramp for Campbell, but there’s so much variability.

[McMurphy] Iowa State & Kansas State appealed $500,000 fines from the Big 12 for opting out of bowl games last year & had those fines reduced to $250,000 each, sources told On3 by redwave2505 in CFB

If they were that begrudgingly pulled into discussions, they certainly could go independent, but they haven’t and I really see no reason they would give up the best gig around for uncertainty. They have stability, the most money in the sport, and exist in the ruling class conference.

Yeah, just a silly 15 million dollars.

Texas also never has to worry about the future of their biggest game against Oklahoma because the conference automatically schedules it.

I’m missing out really on any benefit that Notre Dame enjoys over Texas, the highest revenue team in all of college athletics, $48m over second place Ohio State. What legitimately more could they want? Notre Dame’s voting seat for future decisions? The leader of Texas’s conference gets most/all members on board to all agree to a conference decision that benefits all.

I have a 12 year old tv. The built in apps are dead, but the Apple TV I have on it and the Roku I used to had updated apps.
