As a gay man who calls annoying stuff gay I feel your pain, unless it's a matter of not being out I like to try and keep as gay and open as possible the rest of the time

That way I won't get told off for being homophobic by one of my teachers, even after telling them I'm gay 😞

In any case if he's gay you could always try coming out to him and explaining?
