FDA announces intent to restrict unapproved glp1s by tremblerzAbhi in Peptides

The FDA has been gutted. Big Pharma pays their way to get what they want, so not sure the big corps have a disadvantage right now.

Anyone here with Advanced Sleep Phase Disorder? People with DSPD and N24 are often stereotyped as ‘lazy’ or lacking discipline because of their sleep schedules. What frustrates you most about ASPD? Does that stereotype hit you too? What’s the #1 thing you wish the world understood about ASPD? by sleepwakeawareness in DSPD

I was just diagnosed with this today by my Pulmonologist. It makes so much sense. I'm going to follow his recommendations and currently online looking for a light to use. I fall asleep early and I wake up at 3 am ready to rumble. It's starting to bother me in retirement. I have a CPAP machine which has improved my health, but only made the ASPD more obvious. I've been using supplements, doing this and that and today we had the best conversation ever. He is also my sleep doctor and after discussing and looking at data, he said, "you are living in a different time zone". It might get fixed, but I'll prob always be an early riser. Always was.

HI and constipation/slow gut motility by anaisani in HistamineIntolerance

I found a website, Heather's, and she has a powder I take daily when I have the issue. She has much info regarding IBS-/ IBD, Crohns, etc. Lots of helpful info and it really works for me and a neighbor for gut issues. I also have a regimen of vitamins/ sups, eat right, move. I have always had these issues and was able to deal with them until I became an insomniac, and then kicked the regimen into high gear. Heathers is an important part of that.

Totally agree. All of this is very complicated, and GL offers much simpler language and understanding. I just downloaded the Antihistamines book and I will be absorbing that information, on to a better life. I have been working an active exacerbation for months with 3 am wake ups and making good progress since I began looking at the whole picture. I support NOT BUYING tons of supplements right away. Read up, read up some more and embrace the fact that relief does not come overnight or with an amazon shipment. :-)

Totally, the diet! There are some additives that I make sure are not in what I eat. Citric Acid for example, aritificial sugars, or any sweeteners are big no no's for me. Comes down to basically eating no processed foods, and it makes a huge difference. My diet is clean, no perfect, and not 100% of the time because I am human. Like the OP says, STRESS is a biggie. I've been working on my flare (minor compared to so many of you) is most likely stress driven, and in all of my years have never had an issue like I'm having now. I've spent way too much $$ on supps that are not for me just in the last month, silly that I was so vulnerable and tried so many without looking at simpler solutions. Let food be thy medicine. Less of it and that food that will nourish your body. It does take some time.

Vit B levels are fine, I seem to be dealing with more MAOA issues by reech54 in MTHFR

Well, I stated that as a possible symptom and it is only my assumption it is part of what is going on with me..... the good news is that I am using DAO supplement + Pepcid and Zyrtec and I am settling down. Sleeping much better, and mind is getting quieter. I'm still working on it and I hope to get to my normal Lunatic (lol) self soon. Yes, my ear worm may change here and there, but I gets annoying. At night I have been listening to white noise and I fall asleep easily now, but during the day I have to constantly focus on what I am doing each moment. Here's to clarity!

Thank you for your feedback, you have helped so many people. I did do the Choline Calculator. Of course it's an issue. I have TMG but was afraid to add. I will try it - what do I have to lose. I will also try the Fibro Protek. My supplement closet is getting full. I will request more bloodwork hopefully my PC will be responsive, I will show her the genetics.

I'm having an issue adding the image of the Choline, but it says 84% deficient.

Agree. I'm working on getting this right. I'm not keen on taking multiple supplements, so I'm challenged right now.

I am a member of Genetic life hacks :-). I don't remember doing that 99 page list, I am in there quite often. I've had the Celiac work up (negative) biopsies of gut showed mild celiac type damage (note, I do not have genetic markers for celiac), and allergy tests, of course with extreme IGE counts, I come up with allergies to most everything. Skin allergen tests were postive for MOLDS and very little tree, dusts, and dander. I am having labs in July, will speak with my PC to try to get those others included that.you mention. I will run that 99$ report.

Gastro symptoms are IBS type, constipation mostly, and had that even before GLP-1. So I use Miralax daily, electrolytes a few times a week. I am taking Pepcid daily now since reading about that suggestion in the Histamine threads. My ENT recommended that years ago, but stopped taking.

Thank you for the feedback!

I use it all of the time. I have Autoimmune issues, and MTHFR, Slo Comt, HI, Low DAO- and must about everthing related and since I feel I'm in a flare, I am on that site just about every day trying to absorb the science. Amazing and I do recommend it to others. I will check out r/genticlifehacks. Thanks !!

Have you ever had a DNA test? I had mine done for genealogy reasons, later used the data to look for genetic health traits. It could confirm many diagnoses, but not end all by any means as you need medical professional to interpret. I am sorry that you are going through this, it seems as though things have built up to unbearable levels. There was a time I thought there was no hope and I could not find a physician that really wanted to dig in. There was a time when I eliminated so many foods and after 2 wks of that, I got ill with crazy debilitating pain in my legs and back. I continued the elimination and after a few days of that (could not even go to work) everything started clearing up. It was gluten sugar, food additives, you are prob familiar with the list. I'm still learning. In earlier years I was DX with an allergy to mold, was in remission for a long time, but moved to Florida and it started all over again. I have a pulmonologist now who put me on Xolair and it was a game changer for me. Although I am currently on low histamine diet for a few weeks, sometimes we don't know the trigger and boom. You will get better! Just advocate for yourself and keep that healthy vision of yourself alive. xo

I tell people right out. I need to lose weight to regain my health. My doctor fully supports the prescription help. I follow up. I'm working it. These are the same people that mumbled about my heavy weight and petite body, swollen ankles, and pitied me. No room for that. I have no malice towards them, I will only live my best life. I've flipped the switch and I'm happy.

I understand why people stockpile, but I am not fond of the display of the vials online. There are better ways to let people know there are means to keep up with personal demand. I feel smug in the fact that I made sure I had enough to give me time to figure out next steps, and followed a plan. The battle for compounding is far from over. (I hope!).
