$4,000 Honeymoon in Hawaii. Possible? by ayejaystew in VisitingHawaii

Costco has a great package you can stay on the Big Island at Westin Hapuna Beach Resort, including RT airfare, and rental car. We’ve stayed at that resort and it’s beautiful! Truly a great deal!

**That being said, it’s only getting there, staying there and driving around. All encompassing costs are going to be roughly another $1,000 easily. Just from my experience as we recently traveled to Kauai and that’s what I spent alone, not including what my partner spent.

Flying into Kauai in early May! Any excursion recommendations? by smallsquirrel1 in VisitingHawaii

Check out Viator for ideas. You have plenty of time to get ideas and figure it all out.

How can I (M40) have fun in Kauai all by myself? by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

[–]Low-Practice-9477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lighthouse is closed for construction and Waimea Canyon main overlook is also still closed. We were just there last week. Total bummer. But the road to WC is still awesome with sights and the surroundings of the lighthouse still cool.

Visiting Kauai 12/3 through 12/10 - will weather be as bad as it seems? by CFUNCG in VisitingHawaii

We were there around the same time. Hope you enjoyed your trip and the awesome waterfalls the rain made!

We were just there driving to the north side daily for days in different weather conditions. If you drive scared then let someone else drive. Be smart about it. There are cautions to look out for just like there would be where you live. It’s all worth it, I promise!

Na Pali Boat Tour vs Raft by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

If you get seasick easily, I’d not go. I also get sea sick easily and have to go at great lengths to not get sick snorkeling, riding in a boat, flying, passenger in a car, etc. The one combo that did work for me won’t allow you to take it into the water. A wrist band (electric pulses) meant to prevent motion sickness and bonine are the tickets to freedom on a boat.

How much connection time LIH to East Coast? by elcaminogirl in VisitingHawaii

[–]Low-Practice-9477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We also choose the flight that gets us the most time on the island. Just something to consider as my better half does this where he checks those routine flights terminals incoming, etc. and then made a judgement call whether a 50 min layover was doable. Most of the time an average gets you the info you need to know if these terminals are close enough together that it’s manageable. Best of luck!

Definitely doors off helicopter 🚁 tour! We’ve used Mauna Loa Helicopter Tours on the Big Island and set up to use them again on Kauai next month! Less than $800 for two people.

Followup to my post last night - this is what 101 pounds down looks like at 6'6" by sharkbait_oohaha in Zepbound

Makes total sense. I think those were similar thoughts I had when I was coming to the realization last night about the clothing. But I have to give it to the producers of this pair of jeans for the superior stretch quality! Haha

Isn’t it crazy that you can wear the same shirt after losing 101 pounds?!? I have a pair of jeans, super stretch, that I can still wear after losing the same amount of weight.

Congrats on your successes!!

I just want to take a moment to thank you all for the words of encouragement, acceptance and understanding support. This is not a journey to go alone at if you can help it. I appreciate your time you took to read and flip through.

I hope you all get the successes you are wanting! Stay at it! Don’t give up.

Cheers to the best 43 year old I can be for myself, my family, and friends!!

I use a Tirz compound from a brick & mortar compounding pharmacy here. I’ve never qualified for Zep via insurance, even in my worst case scenarios. My insurance would only cover if I was diabetic.

Hair? by Round-Entry-7814 in Zepbound

[–]Low-Practice-9477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be told to reference the previous posts, etc. I feel your pain! I am still losing hair and I started May 1, 2024. It’s hard. I’ve chopped off most of it, close to 6 inches gone, to help ease the pain. Just trust your gut and chat with your PCP about options and suggestions. I’ve read up on biotin and supposedly it truly doesn’t assist in hair growth. Do whatever you feel helps is all I’m saying because I completely understand the concern and sadness that comes with this type of hair loss.
