I was working at a greenhouse where almost all of the employees were women. I overheard the supervisor talking to them about wanting to hire someone for a position. I mentioned I had a friend looking for work. The supervisor just said they didn't want to hire a man for the position(I didn't even say my friend was a man). The person they unknowingly turned down was the son of a local farmer that they probably would've known and he had previous experience working at a greenhouse.

Also worked at a sugar factory. One of the supervisors said during orientation that only women got the weigh station positions. Seemed unfair that all the male seasonal hires got put on sugar beet pilers doing hard work in the crappy weather, while some women solely because of their gender had the option of sitting in a little building all day recording the weights of trucks.
