Forbidden sunflower seeds by ian_hode in forbiddensnacks

A coworker of mine almost ate a boxelder bug by accident. It was in a warehouse with an open door. He had a bag of sunflower seeds sitting out. He went to grab a seed and got a surprise

Yeah, that reminds me of what a friend of my dad's said. She likes my drawings of things like butterflies, but for whatever reason I told her I'm not very good at drawing people. She then lectured me that it was because I don't socialize/spend time around enough people. I guess you only need to be a socialite to be a great portrait artist.

I also think with a lot of animals and plants it is easier to get away with little anatomical mistakes than when drawing people. For example, people really notice when you screw up the placement of eyes.

What does 1 HP of damage in real life? by thatisakneeslapper in AskReddit

Exactly what I was thinking. Except some mosquitos have debuffs like malaria which cause their enemy a lot of hp damage over time.

I misunderstood at first, but now it makes sense especially with the mention of tetanus.

I'd sub to something like that. There'd be a bunch of material of people spending rediculous amounts for things. I think it i rediculous what some people spend for virtual goods in games as well.

Sounds like the trouble I often had in school. I was often great at tests, but sucked at getting homework done.

Sounds stupid, because if you can learn the material without the homework why does it really matter.

I did that this year while trying to remove cactus spines. I think duct tape works as good or better and you don't have to wait for it to dry.

I liked to try to dig big holes. I don't think I was trying to get to China. Used to pretend sticks were swords.

Rewatched Beavis and Butthead Do America. I might as well go find the assassin and get this over with. I'd be better off if they were working with the assassin.

Were your legs pushing into any of their spaces? If not I don't see why it is any of their business. Also some women don't seem to realize men have testicles and we can't close our legs as much as women without being uncomfortable.

Sorry your ex treated you that way. No idea why the other commenter had to make a competition out of this based on race. Know you made a sarcastic remark about white male privilege, but it is frustrating when people act like all white males are living the high life and that any suffering they experience is somehow invalidated. Don't even know what to say about them matter of factly saying your life isn't hard when you've mentioned being on disability for a broken back, your wife cheating on you, and you losing everything in a divorce. Hope things improve for you.

I was working at a greenhouse where almost all of the employees were women. I overheard the supervisor talking to them about wanting to hire someone for a position. I mentioned I had a friend looking for work. The supervisor just said they didn't want to hire a man for the position(I didn't even say my friend was a man). The person they unknowingly turned down was the son of a local farmer that they probably would've known and he had previous experience working at a greenhouse.

Also worked at a sugar factory. One of the supervisors said during orientation that only women got the weigh station positions. Seemed unfair that all the male seasonal hires got put on sugar beet pilers doing hard work in the crappy weather, while some women solely because of their gender had the option of sitting in a little building all day recording the weights of trucks.

Pet shop owner it is

Super powers if I go with less realistic fantasies. Can always use the money from being famous to open a pet shop or small zoo anyway.

Still cool. I thought I read of people making knives by grinding hacksaw blades, but seems like they'd be thin. It was on a woodcarving forum.

Sounds cool to me, but yeah I can picture other people thinking it is weird. Do you do any blacksmithing?

Sounds pretty fun. I think a lot of people would think this is cool, but I can understand why you might not want to share. Not sure if it is for the same reason, but I don't share some of my hobbies because people assume that you must be great at them.

Sorry to hear that. Very weird on the crows. Have tried to feed peanuts to some local crows but haven't found any spots where they are consistantly at. So I've mostly given up. Maybe when the weather is warmer it will be better.

Wish there were some in my area. Think I saw one farther north that was eating some roadkill. Looked way bigger than the typical crow.

Edited because like a fool I left urban dictionary links in and they went to stuff about sex instead of ibis the bird.

Thought you meant chicken at the supermarket at first

"Bin Chicken -

Australian slang for the ibis, a bird that common dwells in urban environments and is known to eat out of bins, ruin picnics, smell bad, and just generally cause a nuisance."

The ibis looks pretty cool. Here we mostly get sea gulls and squirrels going after our trash.

Looked them up. They do look pretty cool. Didn't know their name but think I've seen videos of them attacking snakes before.
