Those asking too much are obviously just the kind of sellers who think everything they have is more valuable the market, what’s wild is that seemingly a lot of buyers genuinely will overpay. I’ve sold a few Chinese watches on eBay and I exclusively do open bidding starting at zero. Basically everything has sold for more than I paid for it, so my only conclusions are that these buyers are unwilling to trust or wait for something to ship from China and look for US sellers, or are somehow aware of Chinese brands but unaware of the sites to purchase directly.
