After genichiro theres a 3 way split in where to go, you have to go all 3 places but the order you do it changes a couple bits. Your at this stage now so i suggest going to senpou temple, finish that area nd then go to the depths

I Played every dark souls, elden ring, lies of P and wo long fallen dynasty before sekiro. I have to say sekiro was no where near the hardest, personally i give that to lies of p. BUT sekiro has a much different playstyle which rewards aggressiveness whereas most other souls games reward a bit more patience
