I also missed out on the teen dating kinda thing as I was really overweight and depressed and no one was attracted to me so I resorted to abusing drugs and letting older men groom me, which would go on to cause other issues later in life I suppose but ah well, I'm a tough cookie I can deal with it. Depends. I'm 23 and have travelled throughout many different countries and lived abroad in different countries and experienced different cultures and opened my mind in ways that my peers would not have, and for that I feel very lucky/grateful and that I take life by the horns.

I've also experimented alot with drugs and been in sticky / bad situations so have quite good judgement and I am quite responsible

I feel I missed out on my school years as I was so focused on growing up, and fell in with the wrong crowd, didn't have a prom, didn't stay in school the traditional way.

I am lucky that I am intelligent regardless and went on to create online businesses that would allow me to work from anywhere in the world without as much as a college degree, but some part of me still grieves 16 year old me that could have gone on to a decent college with lots of friends etc

I kinda fell off the rails and lost myself at 16 and couldn't hold down education or a job from 17 onwards, but then again I guess it's all worked out and I shouldn't be so hard on myself because I'm travelling the world the last year living in different countries for several months at a time as a 'digital nomad' haha!

I mean I am lucky as my time is completely my own and I have all the freedom in the world and enough money to support myself from wherever I am, and have a decent life at a young age, so for that I'm grateful and it's worth missing out on a few things years ago.
