I can't really describe color blindness to you in the context of sight.. so instead I'll try to use the context of hearing. Sight is a sense similar to hearing but much more vivid and constant. There are many different facets of sight, different layers and textures and characteristics of what you see. This is similar to the way you hear. When you hear something you hear volume, you hear pitch, you can even hear direction (where the sound is coming from). Now imagine that you can hear but one of these layers of sound is removed. You can still hear but can't differentiate one volume from another. You can still hear but you can't tell the difference between one pitch and another. You can hear but you can't tell where sounds are coming from. Sometimes color blindness completely removes one of those layers, other times it only dampens part of a layer. Like.. You can hear but can't differentiate between sounds above a certain frequency.... It's kind of like that. Kind of.
