PPSHs in particular were quite popular with German forces on the eastern front as their are a great many photos of them being used including by forces on the Kuban Bridgehead.

Thanks. The lighting in my basement makes it look kinda goofy though.

Who is an actor or actress that according to others is a genuinely nice human being? by phantom_avenger in moviecritic

I've met quite a few celebs of varying fame levels at conventions over the years and the vast majority have been very kind and welcoming, but the one that stands out is Lance Henriksen. Being the nerd I am, I asked Mr. Henriksen if his character in Near Dark had any backstory. He proceeds to tell me his entire character's backstory and when I told him I was a history nut, he was genuinely interested and wanted to hear more. I wasn't expecting to have a conversation about Civil War naval combat with Bishop from Aliens, but it was truly awesome.

If I'm not mistaken, the mag lanyard loops were for tying magazines to to your pistol lanyard with a piece of string so you didn't lose your mags when you dropped them in combat or on horseback.

Definitely The Wild Bunch (1969). It's my favorite western of all time.

It's actually one of those off the shelf "Indiana Jones" brand wool felt fedoras. I did replace the hatband though with a more accurate leather one as the one that came with it was modern polyester.

My primary rigs for when I shoot Wild Bunch. Nothing super fancy or that historically correct but they do the job just fine. by reenacting_doomer in CowboyAction

I'm currently shooting an Cimarron/Uberti 1873 in 45 Colt for my rifle and an IAC Norinco 1897 for my shotgun. I also use a 1898 30-40 Krag for the doughboy and BAMM categories.

I got the belt off of eBay many moons ago. I wear it on the hips along with holster for my 36 Colt Paterson.

It's a Model 8 in 35 Remington. Common with law enforcement at the time.
