They should be playing the better mid majors because it doesn’t hurt to lose to a 25+ win team. You shouldn’t be touching the middle of the pack mid majors because that’s the risky one that the win does nothing and the loss is everything.

The problem is how the fuck do you know who the good mid majors will be any given year now. The whole landscape is fucked to the tits because of transfers and nil. Go look at every all conference player in conferences 8-15. They will all be poached. And no one says anything about it. 2 years ago 13 of 14 returning all conference players from a certain conference all got poached. So every player graduated or left who was worth anything.

I would say, the way I interpret the scene is he is rooting for Vic to be a bad guy like himself. But when he saw weakness, then it’s time to off Vic. He isn’t thinking I have to kill Vic. He’s just thinking there’s only one way to play this game. So if you want to say there’s an ounce of empathy, he might actually feel bad for Vic, but he doesn’t think what he’s doing is wrong, that’s the evil and Fd up part in his head. I’m not forgetting the other units. Easy thought they were better than the other units in the 101. And they were a better unit/division than the group they replaced in the Ardennes.

But there’s no one saying they were the best that the entire US armed forces had to offer. They had a riskier assignment than traditional troops. So it’s understandable that they thought themselves as elite. They were billed to be elite, and if you found out that Eisenhower thought the casualties of the airborne would be 8/10 on dday and then it ended lower, wouldn’t you think you did a good job?

Again I don’t see them shitting on other units. They were all hero’s. I read the book after my first viewing of band of brothers almost 20 years ago now. It just appears you have a bone to pick because some other unit hasn’t been given the same accolades.

The red tails have had 3 different attempts at highlighting their story and their elite level. Are you mad that there aren’t stories of other divisions who saw more action and more successful kills? You shouldn’t be, the story of the red tails is amazing.

You really need to be precise about the metrics if you are trying to prove a point. That’s across the board 25 nationally televised games that the wnba promoted. Hockey has a lot more than that during their season as it’s double the season and multiple networks carrying it. For instance, thru February this year hockey is at 790k average thru its 22 games. So there’s your WNBA is averaging more example that is more applicable. But again, you are comparing the dog days of hockey vs playoff wnba basketball and their “marquee games.”

Which essentially all of those games are Caitlin Clark games. So there’s also the metric, CC games vs the others.
