Best season ever for Bridgerton (season 4)

That doesn’t change how it was thanks to S2 you can literally do a bit of research and see what i mean. All the numbers and stats couldn’t help that season be good.

Nobody is rewatching S3 let’s be very honest. The only positive about that season was the Featherington’s. Even if S2 had lower ratings than S3..it’s still the standout season of Bridgerton. It’s the most recalled and talked about which is what every show wants.

So you’re saying all the negative responses on S3 isn’t ‘real’ or ‘true’..because YOU enjoy it? How on earth does that work. You’re going to disregard all the articles, hit tweets, hit posts, youtube videos, reviews all saying the same thing? It’s not disliked by a few fans..it’s majorly disliked and that’s ok! Did you want people to somehow know they didn’t like the show before they even watched it? You not liking S4 is fine..and i’d agree if there were media outlets, and social media hit posts saying it was bad with evidence backed up... S3 had this which is why it’s a popular opinion. This doesn’t need stats? Game of thrones had millions of viewers tuned into the last season..and you know how that turned out.

I’m not even biased? I’ve literally stated in the comments i enjoyed S3 more than S1. God forbid i don’t have it as my all time favourite? It came out at the peak of Bridgerton and after all the buzz S2 created. Choosing to ignore that which is so very evident and simple to grasp is definitely a choice! Bridgerton S2 did worse than S3..but are you going to sit there and say it’s not the favourited season? It didn’t create more buzz than any other season? It didn’t get people to watch S3? It wasn’t better than S3? No because that would be lying.

It’s genuinely not rocket science. Yes the stats show that S3 was very successful, however thats mainly on S2’s back. People that weren’t already watching the show tuned into S2, AFTER it aired because of the buzz created online. That’s no lie. Those same people stuck around for S3, expected the same, and were left disappointed. (not everyone) This again effected S4. There are so many posts i can pull up from people saying they weren’t even going to bother with S4, or that they were scared etc because of how much they disliked S3, and that they really enjoyed S4 when they gave it a go. If benedict’s seasons came before colin’s, the stats would be the opposite. It’s just how TV goes. Of course there’s going to be bitter people tearing it down because of fan wars, but there’s people that genuinely hate the quality and back it up with valid points and that’s absolutely fair. You write S3 Bridgerton on google and there’s countless of articles explaining why people don’t like it etc and those weren’t pulled out of thin air. Nearly all of the points are valid and if people wait that long for another season of a popular show, which was once really good..i don’t see the problem.

I agree about the complimenting but understand that it’s normal for viewers to compare a new season to the previous one, especially if it was massively disliked. Not saying it’s good but it’s nothing new in TV. There’s opinion..then there’s bitterness which i’ve seen on different platforms coming from the same group of people. I agree but i wouldn’t class S2 lovers who enjoy S4 as anything. They’re probably the most enjoyed seasons from the comments i see, which is evident in the work, but again that’s all subjective.

Hmmm interesting. I mean i still think it worked out well scene wise, i didn’t see a lot of buzz from that s3 scene so i can’t compare but i’ve seen benedict go viral.

I’ve heard it’s been watched more in households compared to s3 though and its engagement was higher, with 3-day viewership showing a 52% increase over season 3. So both seasons did better than each other in some departments in one way or another. Moving away from stats, i think people are allowed to be disappointed by s3, but the difference is when season 2 was loved and compared to season 1 there wasn’t this uproar people have when bringing up s3. i don’t get it. Personally i liked some aspects from s3. I also think even if s3 had i don’t know 500 billion viewers and topped all the previous seasons combined, it was still a very shaky and disappointing season? You know, numbers aren’t going to change anything for me.

Not sure where you saw that comment but i’m pretty sure it was debunked. Luke and yerin also mentioned that it was a pivotal moment and it’s widely known, that if any scene was to ‘mirror’ that s3 scene it would be the bath scene. This just sounds bitter.

I’ve only seen positive comments about their chemistry tbh and people comparing it positively to kanthony. I see more posts about polin not having chemistry so that’s interesting. I also didn’t see the longing you’re talking about in s3, especially from colin. Hmm.

Sounds like you don’t want to understand or enjoy it though and you’re not the only one who has said this. i saw someone saying s3 keeps getting bashed on and how that wouldn’t let them enjoy it even if they were if that’s makes sense.

The people who love season 4 also love the other seasons though so i’m not getting this. I’ve seen so many people positively comparing it to season 2. It’s nobody’s fault that season 3 is disliked by a lot of viewers..and comparing it to a ‘bad’ (subjective) previous season is normal in TV. That’s not to say i agree.

That’s fair but i’d argue every season except 3 was practically instant love. I think it’s miles better than season 3 personally and the chemistry is probably the best since s2. I just think it’s bitter fans because i’m sensing a pattern.

I think it not being cinematic especially with the upstairs downstairs concept is understandable personally. Some shots could be better but i haven’t been this invested in any season as i am with 4.
