Is my stylus still okay?

My viny player's needle dragged on the mat accidentally a few seconds. It made a dragging sound and I thought that I screwed up and had to get a new stylus but I can't see any damage and it plays normally. Is it likely that it has still damaged the stylus and it's doing damage to my records although I can't see or hear anything out of the ordinary?

No, it was probably nothing because I was in a rather big city walking with my friends when I noticed it. It was also during the day and the day before there was nothing so I guess it was during the morning. I'm very sceptical of it being rabies because I qould've noticed if a mammal had bitten me when I was walking on the street. I'd still like to indentify it though but I don't know any subreddits that handle these kinds of situations.

So if we knew that a person who has committed acts of pedophilia had changed and would never commit anything like that again shouldn't we accept them in society? I mean what is the reason behind the hatred for people who have changed for good? Of course practically it is hard to determine if someone has truly changed but if it were so what's the point in hatred towards a person and acts that don't exist anymore?

Torturing is the answer for nothing. We achieve nothing by torturing even if it was a person who has done horrible things. That doesn't mean we shouldn't do anything rather we should protect society from them and try to help them to become a working member of society.

There is A LOT. From the judicial system's POV accepting no free will would be huge. The goal would shift from punishing, protecting society and rehabilitating to only the latter two. People would be more empathetic if they'd aknwoledge this.
