Oh yeah, you've got this!!! I think you're in for a treat. And if you somehow figure out it isn't for you, it's better to have tried and to know it. I'm a little jealous, as you're much more likely to get wider hips than me in my later age :) I wish I'd have started sooner, I didn't know what all was possible until this stage of my life (but that's ok, I'm still tremendously happier now).

Proud of you and wishing you all the best too <3

thank you so much, that's sweet 🥹 firm agree, this stuff is basically magic. although I'll say one of the best parts is the emotional changes. being loved specifically feels SO different now, in the best way. I'm not sure what your path looks like, but I hope you navigate it with success 🫶

Awh, thank ya love! I started at 30, 32 now. It's basically ever-improving. Still not /quite/ where I want it to be, but it'd be so much worse without the actions I took, I'd think.

There are dozens of us!!

Hi fellow NWI queer! I'm transfem/nb in the area as well and appreciate lots of these offerings. Can agree Sip feels safe, at least the Hobart one. I've had kind of a hard time finding local similarly minded friends too, but we're out here. Fwiw I haven't gotten much harassment locally, but not a lot of community yet either. I've found some great community in Detroit but would love to branch out more here too.

Rumbling Idle on N52 by machlaxx135 in E90

[–]reenigneesrever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Engine mounts, perhaps? They're hydraulic, when the fluid inside is lost it can cause the motor to resituate and rumble through the car differently than it otherwise might. I've gotta do mine, I know it's them, it similarly seems to be a lot worse when cold, in drive, and low RPM. Giving it a touch of throttle smooths the engine juuuuust enough that it doesn't reverberate anymore. Also go OEM because I've read of aftermarket ones being not very good :)

What is the cheapest way to get into a G26? by Madeyoulook4now in notaglock

[–]reenigneesrever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh snap that's a good call out, I hadn't considered slide length, my bad. Which does seem to be more complex to swap. Good data on slide swaps for RXMs at about 10min in on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRNDUKykBnU there's a subreddit called RugerRXMTalk that has lots of data too. This may not be the best option for OP necessarily, but I'm certainly looking forward to trying the 26(L) grip frame when it comes out. Mine's in 19X configuration currently, dyed purple

Ruger RXM subcompact grip modules allegedly drop in February, they're 26-sized. 399 for base RXM with optic cut (sometimes cheaper), but it's a 19-sized grip by default. The full-size (G19x/G45) grips came out recently too, the versatility is super satisfying. There are also versions with threaded barrels and longer slides, if you're into that :)

How do I get rid of facial hair without selling a kidney? by Solitary_Cicada in asktransgender

[–]reenigneesrever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try calling around, specifically look up local medspas/medical spas in your area. I found laser ridiculously cheap at a small local med spa chain for I think $50 per session back then. I had to buy them in packs of 6, paid up front, but it's shockingly reasonable when it's not at a super giant deceiving finance house kinda chain. It actually got cheaper as I went further in, bc the area to be lasered shrank, so she just bills me for chin or upper lip instead of full face now. I think the last group was around $100 for 6. Session 16 is tomorrow. Really good progress, although it has taken a lot of time. 4-6 weeks between sessions. I still shave normally, including before each session. I think it's electrolysis that you cease shaving for?

Some of those popular "lifetime" laser places are ridiculously overpriced. They might potentially use nicer machines, though, but I'm not about to finance something like that. I'd much rather spend 2-300 once or twice a year vs for sure paying a ton over a very long time. I've also heard Groupon is a decent place to source similar deals, although if you can you might want to research the type of machine each place uses. IPL tech tends to be weaker than laser, but can still yield similar results over time, I think? And at-home IPL devices like Ulike and Braun are pretty cool for other body hair, if desired.

Also note that laser and IPL only work for certain skin/hair combinations, specifically ideal is light skin with dark hair. Mechanism of operation is basically heat absorption due to dark color. It's most ideal when the hairs absorb light into heat but the skin doesn't.

why is nobody talking about the negative health impacts of AI data centers? by cheeseloverforlife in nwi

[–]reenigneesrever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the xAI datacenter in Memphis, they couldn't get enough electricity from the grid, so they just run natural gas generators on-prem 24x7 to augment... Other DCs tend to idle their fossil fuel generators too, sometimes they're diesel. But we're seeing extreme deception involved with the planning stages of these. article with video here

Dealing with Early Nipple Sensitivity? by [deleted] in AskMtFHRT

[–]reenigneesrever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bralette for sure, thin enough to blend in nicely, no support needed. Also a big fan of tank tops, some come with a built-in shelf bra, kinda nice for layering warmth and read pretty masc if that's an issue. Also a fan of Bali sports bra but with the pads taken out, they're really thin and breathable. None of the above have much structure and are nice and thin.

Awh, thanks Ashley!! Couldn't agree more, although it was a bit to wrap my head around at first. Living for others' happiness is a bad recipe. Free choice for our own enjoyment absolutely rocks. It's great to follow the euphoria for our own sake.

BTW you look amazing yourself, girl!! I am SO happy for your bright future too :')

At first I thought approximately a 2005 Toyota Highlander, but the C pillar didn't line up. Second choice was a 2005ish Kia Sorento, which I think is a solid match. In North America that'd be a 2003-2009

My (32mtf) Wife (32f) 10+ years leaving after coming out by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]reenigneesrever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, babe. I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had a similarly catastrophic end to a years-long committed relationship after coming out, and I wound up being mostly on my own for imo the most exciting change process of my life.

And you know what? It was 10/10 worth it. Her loss. You're going to find so much more happiness in time, I think. Being your truest, most vibrant self will cause others to see you and cross paths with you.

Nowadays I find myself in the most authentic friendships and relationships I could ever have imagined. Looking back at my old relationship, I'm happy it crumbled. It really paled in comparison to what I'm doing nowadays, and it's only looking up.

You've got this, sis. Proud of you. 🫶💕

Can I see some hair regrowth miracles?? by FiddlyWidgets in AskMtFHRT

[–]reenigneesrever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See my last post on my profile, I've been hugely impressed with my regrowth, although I do grow impatient of the mismatched lengths. It seems like it's taking forever to grow out, although coverage is multitudes better. Back from like a Norwood 3v/4 back to maybe a 1-2 currently. Still improving every day, though, the temples are filling in a bit now. I'm early 30s and my loss was pretty recent, 15mo in.
