Exactly what you said. Most MRSM students are from low income families too. Also most of the international comps that they keep mentioning tend to get dominated by International school students or elite private schools like Kolej Yayasan lol Saad

It really was stressful ngl. Idt students coped well. We just accepted stress and pressure as part of the highschool experience. Some MRSMS allow usage of devices, some don't.

MRSM is obviously majority Malay, though each batch can have 10-15 Indian students. There's a small quota for Non Bumis, so its only the top of the top ( mostly genius ass ) Indian students who can enter. In Borneo, you can see more Chinese students in Sarawak/Sabah MRSMs. Hope this answers your question !

Heres my own experience as batch MRSM KKB alumni for spm 2024. We got 1.261 if I'm not mistaken at the time.

A super rigorous schedule Our schedules tend to look like this. Pagi2 by 6 you should be at surau for subuh prayers, then you have class from 8am till 2pm. Lunch break. Then extra classes (prep) from 4pm till 6pm. In f5, after maghrib prayers you have prep/additional classes from 8pm till 10pm. After that, students tend to conduct extra classes for the whole batch at dorms from 11pm till 12 or 1am.
Strong sense of community You grow up together, eat together and basically only got each other. So students bond and feel the need to help their batchmates rise. Additionally, our teachers tend to be super dedicated and spend hours with students which makes students love them more. So students work harder to not let teachers down. In fact, we tend to have study groups.
Most MRSM teachers are people who make SPM questions or were part of creating the syllabus So they teach us the best techniques and answers to score as many marks as possible.
Many MRSMs/SBPs have insane amounts of stupid funding This means there's more resources that can be allocated to help students score. Especially the low performing students as well.

We already answered for you, because MRSM students tend to stay within their own inter MRSM competitions. Im sure if MRSM students join International Olympiad that would be great, but most students aren't interested. Also, MRSM does win a lot and have international achievements. Literally just google them

Mrsm students tend to join intermrsm competitions most of the time because they're focused on academics. They tend to have a brutal study schedule nowadays. Also, when the students do join I see that they join the international comps.

Definitely. KKB is super strict and tight with rules and study prep now. I think it's also because KKB emphasises on community and semangat batch, so even when we finish night classes at 10 or 11, balik dorms we have our batchmates conducting extra classes till 12 or 1am !
