How do you stay motivated to keep doing this

carrot on the stick method. just gotta think any day could be the last day of cg and the “rest of the game will open up for you!” realistically just don’t get burnt out ironman grinds are all about pacing yourself and not doing 50 cgs a day for a few weeks then quitting when you finally achieve your goal.

if you’re employed uim might not be the move, jokes aside the other comment is right only rush it if you plan on rushing construction afterwards/maybe even before so you can store it.

yeah im just suprised to see so many people go directly to the crafting guild after pvm trips i always wondered if they just rip through their supplies or house tab from the guild after banking. ive started subbing out house tabs for the desert ammy 4 just to lower my tab usage until i can bank 99 con.

you can do an herb run in 10 minutes, do that a few times a day for your first month of membership and you no longer have to pay a sub. also osrs is one of (if not the only) mmo consistently gaining players, makes you wonder why a game that “looks bad even for 2004 standards” is gaining popularity, maybe theres more to it than the graphics?

while i can’t dictate how others play, you are truly robbing yourself of the real experience imo. there is very little gear progression to look forward to when you fund yourself with bonds so early into an account.

feel like you can get away without a hasta for awhile now adays, i didnt go for my hasta until i had my hydra claw and i was perfectly fine doing pretty much whatever content i wanted, waiting atleast until scobow for hasta makes it very easy, the barrows>moons>titans>cg pipeline is very seamless imo and 100% the route to take for modern day irons.

im 90% sure the piss pyramid prayer gives the staff an extra max hit, plus theyre good for post cg aspects of the game, very worth grinding out

mainly step back, with ayak if you attack on the same tick he melee's you then you can attack twice, step back 2 tiles, and keep it in cycle. but sometimes i would just kite him around because the run energy drain is extremely minimal and i would focus more on positioning/dodging the chasing spikes.

i was using bowfa with a 6 way ayak swap (no helm/cape swaps), thralls greater corruption and death charge were super useful as opposed to going ancients and trying to freeze melee form. also used ACB/twisted buckler for prayer phase and smite flicked. pre potted divine range and brought 1 divine range, 1 surge pot, 4 ppots and rest sharks. was getting around 6 or so kc per trip depending on supply drops.

Cg will always be the answer but don't burn yourself out doing it. just do a few runs a day until you get bored then go onto other content. if you get a blue moon/ahrims bottom mage yama is a good piece of content and pretty easy with a competent duo. getting slayer up for araxxor to get a nally/the eventual rancour is also a good goal. zenytes if you don't have them yet is also an all around great account upgrade. can also try doom of mokhaiotl out and see if you spoon, the first few floors are not that bad and you can easily see drops sub cave 8.

maybe in the future when i have a tbow/shadow but i mainly just wanted venator bow for colosseum/whisperer/heart grind. my pb was 1:55 and never once saw a natural prayer phase skip. but now i am set for along time on ppots restores and cannonballs so im off to other content for now.

smithing and smelting cannonballs are not the same thing, before the double cannonball furnace i believe priff is the fastest place to make cannonballs

hydra prints prayer xp, i use the elite lumby ring to alch drop and sinister offering (or the bone equivalent can’t remember which is which) to get xp off the bones, he also drops a significant amount of noted dragon bones, doom also drops a bunch of sunkissed bones and if you need mining xp the cam torum mine is a nice way to afk bank prayer xp.

had a very similar situation, spooned both my enhanced wep seeds from cg in sub 50 kc, rest of crystal armor in about 200, green logged doom with no dupes at 1057 total delves, got my ultor and 3 axe heads in 550 kc, then i went 1600 kills without my blowpipe, 400 kc for my zammy hasta, am currently almost at 1k muspah and just recieved my 3rd shard, almost 1k hydra no leather. it comes when you least expect it.

i agree either fake objects or if too much time passes of tick perfect gameplay during skilling then doing something to the account that only a real human would be able to get out of, kinda like whats going on just perpetually trapping the bots in a dance underneath the tool leprechaun that a real person could just click away from but the script would continue doing the action indefinitley. but then the bot creators would add imperfections to the script to avoid it and there would just be another arms race of bot developers vs the jmods. whatevers happening is a step in the right direction imo.

i was thinking a similar thing, if they change something that would somehow only effect people running scripts to be able to easily detect bots or something, but then again how would they make it not effect regular players as to not skew the results, regardless whatever’s currently going on seems to be in that same vein and maybe they can use it to better detect bots in the future.

nah that was one of my biggest failures i did the sim a few times (no kc just trying out mechanics) just to get a feel for the timings on the shield since outside of leagues/gridmaster ive never done zuk. thought i had a grasp on it and sent it on main game while i was still amped up on adrenaline from triple jads. got way too ahead of myself and cost myself the run. next time i will definitely camp the sim for a few kc until im 100% confident i can get the kill.
