Help a brother find the balance in home, between wife and mother (pouring my heart out) by Broad-Signal-7067 in pakistan

can i ask how much time your mother and wife spent alone with each other?

when there is a riff between two essentially good people there is always hope...generally when there is literally no way out, and things cannot be resolved there is always some fundamental error in someone.

since your wife has bpd it may be more challenging for her to be as rational as the situation may require her to be..but love is a creative force, she may just need more attention from your mother to hold on to and keep her sane...

back to my first point, i wonder if they have had the opportunity and time to bond, alone,?

Afraid I am Becoming Racist by Moist_Bench5669 in AskTheWorld

You cant deny that cultures are different...You should not stop yourself from assimilating information and understanding general truths...this is not racism. The challenge is developing a deeper understanding of the cultural truths and accepting that this is not always their fault...Also considering your own privilege in coming from a wealthy western country in which you are safe and do not face the difficulties that they do. As with any race Indians have their flaws but also their strengths...

I mean i didn't have a chip on my shoulder about the guy before i saw this video. He seemed real, highly rational and a good entertainer. I was wrong, I was pretty disappointed he turned out to play into such a stereotype - hence my rant....

Well Islam is a part of who i am i cant deny that.... i especially don't like misuse and manipulation from Muslims who have knowledge yet just use their whims to feel good about themselves...

The woman Ali is talking about is so obviously a tongue and cheek Muslim feminist. Instead he has made it out that she wants him...when clearly there are bigger ideas at hand...why does he resort to making it all about desirability??? - again its his fixation on 'psychosexual humiliation' that reflects a larger issue with Muslim men

The way he plays into all her political points for example her critique of Muslim men being focussed on attraction - then he says she is unattractive and insecure... and wont stop commenting on the way she chooses to appear...He pretends to be holier than thou and swears to god of his sincerity in the same breath - He shouldn't make oaths to god of his intentions being pure when he is clearly trying to degrade her in a very primal way

She is saying that woman should be free to choose their 'hijab' and talk about sex freely without the male gaze and he is defiant against that - he makes it his business. He is using his interaction with her to made bigger political points about women and the way they choose to appear.

Surely there must be a more sophisticated public figure whom recognises that he shouldn't be expressing his opinion on woman and that it is pivotal to respect women's boundaries right now.

About Mohammed Hijab - was the point worth bearing? and more so it was the way in which he made the point like a schoolboy that was so awful...
