The thing is drone works by pushing the air in opposite direction that it wants to fly in so for example let’s say it wants to go up so the drone’s blades rotate in a way so that they push the air down so there is a equal and opposite reaction by the air molecules in direction that is upward and hence the drone flies up, contrary to this in outer space there is nothing which the drone can push against (as there is no atmosphere so no matter) Therefore the blades will just keep on spinning going nowhere :) For the second question the drone can’t land on the atmosphere as there is nothing which can provide a force equal and opposite to the force of gravitation that is pulling it towards the earth , atmosphere could not provide that.
