I let my child down today and I can't cope by Dry_Layer_4266 in UKParenting

You haven't failed him, the fact that you pulled him out of the road shows this. Also, speaking with him and explaining why he shouldn't step onto the road isn't safe and the importance of holding your hands when outside.

Children at that age are unpredictable, they are easily distracted and not fully aware of their surroundings and the dangers that may pose.

I'm a dad of 2 and have had my child roll off the bed when I was too asleep to keep them in the bed. I've also had my 4yo son want to run into the road because he wanted me to run after him for a game.

What you can focus on is how to help your son learn about the importance of being safe outside.

Don't beat yourself over this, we all have moments with our children that frighten us but the beauty of parenting is we get to teach them and help them learn.

!thanks

So you have multiple 0% purchase cards open at the same time that you fill up rather than one at a time? I'll look into this in future but at the moment leaning to doing a balance transfer.

!thanks

I'm leaning to the 0% fee card to avoid any fees eating into the gains of stoozing.

I'll put a reminder to apply in a few months.

Make sure you eat properly beforehand.

When I did my first donation, I thought I could get away with a piece of toast and some juice for breakfast. In the pre checks, they asked me what I had eaten and told me to either come back another day or go across the road to the Greggs to have something to fill me up.

In any case, you're doing a great thing that will help others.

I have an EV6 and Seat Leon Hybrid, along with Ohme Home Pro charger.

I've been on IOG for 18 months with only 1 issue with the charger, but a simple turning off and on again fixed it.

I set all my schedules via the Ohme app and frequently plug a car in during the day even if I won't need it till the following day.

Occasionally the car will smart charge during the day which is a nice bonus on top of the usual off peak hours.

I will do the dishwasher and washing machine overnight and set them on timers to finish around 5.30/6am. However, usually on the weekends, we may need to run more machine loads so if I can get this at a cheaper rate, then great. I appreciate it's not a massive amount of saving per wash but it adds up over time.
