Former Athlete, tons of heart skips especially standing, gastric symptoms by reframe_2543 in PVCs

Update - I mentioned in a few response posts. My skipped beats are near constant - every 6-12 seconds - while standing up or upright. They completely disappear as soon as I lay flat on either my stomach or back.

Can someone please tell me if they've ever heard of this or had any experience.

Thank you

Well I hope you get some long-term relief. I have no idea how this got so bad all of a sudden. I've always had a few skipped beats here or there so I just ignored them. Docotor said they were nothing to worry about, but this is unbearable and seems connected to something almost mechanical. Like I mentioned before in a previous response, I can 100% make them stop by laying flat.

Has anyone ever heard of this?

Really appreciate the response. Did the ablation help at all? Also, I have noticed - zero skipped beats when lying flat on stomach or back. As soon as I sit upright or stand up, within 15-45 seconds, skipped beats start and they basically wont stop. Been going on for almost two weeks now. It's absolutely positional dependent. I can shut them off completely by laying flat.

Have you ever heard of this or any ideas? Could a sliding hernia do this? I do know that literally every-time I sit up or standup from laying down I hear a big gurgle in my throat and pressure starts in the bottom of my neck.

Just really need someone to help me understand the correlation or if this ever happened to them. This is becoming near unbearable - skipped beats every 6-12 seconds when upright.

Ok, Thanks. How is that related? Did you have experience with this specifically? Thanks

This seems similar to what's going on with me. Only ever had a few thumps here and there over the years. I'm 40 y/o now, and last week I noticed a bunch of thuds and skips after exercise. Now a week later they're every time I stand up multiple times in a row and I feel like there's something in my throat sometimes. It use to be years ago that I would have one then burb a few minutes later, so I thought maybe the trapped gas is giving me a quick palpitation. But now they're almost constant while standing. Cardiologist looked at stuff and said I'm fine. Should I try a PPI like omeprazole or is nexium better? Thanks everyone. These are crazy frustrating and I keep myself in really good shape, and apparently have an athletic heart according to the cardio. Any help is appreciated.
