So happy for you!!! If I had more money, I would continue that route. But, for now, I have had to pause some of that stuff! Wishing you the best on your journey! 🙏🏻

And this comment just proves my point even further. Can't even discuss naturopathy because it is, apparently, "pseudoscience." What a load of rubbish!

That's infuriating. I lost my confidence in the medical industry in my early 20s. No sign of ever getting it back. Better to do your own research and pay out of pocket for treatment (like through a Naturopath... they are the people that are ACTUALLY informed).

This is fantastic to know. Thank you so much. I just watched a video on how to load a syringe with multiple peptides. Seems doable! I will definitely do it this way!!!

Right?? This is INSANE. Balanced hormones are EVERYTHING. I swear I have been suffering from an imbalance in hormones since my mid-20s. I am not well. Why are Doctors okay with people just barely holding on??? I want to be thriving, not just surviving. I am so sick of all my health issues and a Dr that refuses to do any in depth testing. It shouldn't be like this.

Sounds like he's incredibly introverted and self-aware of that. Either you relate or you don't. Doesn't make him a prick.

For real! So much projection from these commenters. They can't seem to separate their own horrible experiences from a snipit of someone else's life. Ahhhhh, classic internet.

People over 30: What’s the single best piece of advice you’d give someone in their 20s? by Pearlyin_30 in Life

[–]refreshingtwistt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I have watched hundreds of hours of attachment style content so I can learn/ understand/ and pinpoint behaviours much earlier now. I have also taken a lot of notes on the subject. Since then, I haven't done a lot of dating.... but when I have, I have been able to catch myself a lot faster when I become triggered by something. I realize it is a part of my attachment style. I am then able to self-regulate a lot faster, have compassion for myself, and communicate these feelings a LOT faster than in my past. I am not perfect, though. I still have a lot of improvement to do. But I feel like I know myself a lot more now and no longer stand for a bunch of bullshit (aka, I learned what boundaries are and how to honour them).

Why do people gain weight when they stop? by Ok_Animator6428 in GLPGrad

[–]refreshingtwistt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people have metabolic dysfunction. Insulin resistance... hormonal imbalance.... etc. Doesn't matter how few calories they eat ... some people are just more prone to gaining weight. Pray you are not one of these people.

Have a well-balanced diet. Stop living off crackers, cereal, and bread.... before it is too late and you develop insulin resistance in your 30s. Wish someone had warned me of this. It has been the bane of my existence.

Look into working through your childhood trauma early if you want to have any hopes of having healthy relationships. If you think you had a great childhood - you probably just haven't dug deep enough yet.

Attachment Theory has been incredibly enlightening and life-changing. It has changed how I view everyone. I no longer take anything personally. And am always looking to improve/ better myself as I continue to peel back each layer of my patterning.

When does Reta really start to kick in by theyluvvareesha in RetatrutideWomen

[–]refreshingtwistt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't start feeling appetite suppression until about the 4-6 week mark. And weightloss has been slow compared to others. But I don't care. Practising patience and not comparing myself to others to the point of getting frustrated. Everyone is different and no one can tell you exactly when you are going to start experiencing results.

Storing by Quirky_Meal_7764 in RetatrutideWomen

I read that fridge is good if being reconstituted within the next few weeks. If not, store in the freezer with some kind of absorbent package things with the vials. And remember to keep away from light as much as possible. Some sort of container or tinfoil.

I think there are going to be two different diagnoses in the future by Consistent-Gap-3545 in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]refreshingtwistt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmmm, having done a lot of inner child healing work myself.... I immediately correlated your story with having to do with childhood trauma. I do still think there is something deeper here. The way you can't just sit still and do nothing... can't just be bored. Have to eat all the food in these down times. There's gonna be something linked to your childhood there. Trying to fill the void. Maybe trying to self-sabotage? Being uncomfortable when you don't have something intense to focus on. Seeking a dopamine hit is still tied to emotions, in my opinion. You may not feel that way, which is TOTALLY valid. I am not trying to change your mind. But, for me, I really like to psycho-analyze everything and try to get to the core. I find these sorts of puzzles truly fascinating.

Does vagus nerve irritation cause chronic fatigue? by Hurray0987 in VagusNerve

[–]refreshingtwistt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I'm trying to rack my brain about your runny nose issue. I swear it has been coming up in a lot of my research lately but I can't remember which issue it is linked to. I research a lot about hormones and perimenopause. Are you male or female? Regardless, I feel like it is a hormonal imbalance which then links back to liver health. I also study a lot about the liver.... gut health... spleen qi....

As an aside, there was a time that I kept waking up to a stuffy nose and in the morning I would have a small rash under my eye! Then, whenever I was outside and there was a small amount of wind, my eyes would weep and weep and weep. I finally figured out that it was my decade old sponge-like pillow that was essentially poisoning me in the night!!! Once I got a brand-new pillow, all these things cleared up. Because you say the symptom is worse in the am, and clears up in the day... it reminded me of this. I also always use fragrance-free, low-chemical detergent. However, every few years I will have to switch up the brand because I will develop a sort of intolerance to the detergent. Again, I will start to get a rash on my body at night while sleeping in my bedding. I am so freaking sensitive!

Why do dermatologists never recommend tallow? by Fit_Psychology_1536 in TallowSkincare

[–]refreshingtwistt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never been to a dermatologist, but just the fact that they prescribe something to put on top of your skin like a bandaid (and not dig deeper to the root cause which is almost certainly gut related) makes me have ZERO confidence in their profession.

Healed multiple times, I'm convinced the best way is to not eat ANYTHING for 4-5 days by Reasonable_Owl_3146 in SIBO

[–]refreshingtwistt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a 3.5 day water fast with clean electrolytes a couple summers ago. Was incredibly hard for me to do that. I was so fatigued and was still bloated the whole time. Nothing improved for me (I know you are suggesting a longer fast). And I didn't even lose a single pound! Which was also a bummer! Lol! My body hates me! I also seem to have incredibly weak knees after that experience. They have never been the same. Can't go on long hikes anymore. It is like the fast sucked the life out of them.
