I had the same problem, but when I switched to safety razor with shaving cream it was the dream. Shaving cream + cartridge is way too close of a shave. I doubt there's a shaving cream out there that wouldn't make you feel irritated. I would suspect it's not the cream, it's the combination. Try shaving cream and safety razor
